Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

Most success i had was using Easy RealMedia Producer and changing it to RM 10 in the option!

Can tick resize to 640 x 480 to get the res right too.

Going to have a go at strapping it to my Tamiya Tb01 Rc car . Its pretty fast as Ive bunged a faster motor in and use an 8.4v battery instead of 7.2. I think i'll have to fix it inside looking out thrrough the shell as It usually gets spun a few times.

If you are going to do this, try to use a makeshift mount as iv seen loads of rc cars with onboard camera's, and the cameras as pretty much to the floor so dont really get much interesting footage, also try and dampen the vibration

Attached it to my Coastguard helmet for practice last night - and I would upload it, if it were not for the fact we were shockingly bad!

Got my 2 today (1 for a mate) both type 3's running 4gb SDHC bought from link in first post on eBay :)

Popped out lunchtime to local starbucks with it in my hand and am very impressed with the quality for something so small! Will be great for trackdays so im thinking of getting a 1 or 2 more so I can have one in the front, one on the side or one on the spoiler etc then multiplex them into a single video :D :D

May also come in handy on a random night out in town! ;)

Yeah good idea, I'll try and aim it up slightly so its not just looking at the road.

Was going to put it behind the window but it might be a bit distorted so I'll probably attach it to the bonnet and put some padding over it in case of a multi flip situation .

Got mine from buymix168 today (same as Jacob) - ordered last thurs so one week. Looks like a #3 as expected.

I'm another person who got the camera before the memory card. Stupidly I chose next day delivery via amazon prime... which means special delivery.. which means no-one in to sign for it so I still don't have it a week after I ordered.

do have a 8gb sandisk card in my phone but don't really want to format it...

Mine's been working fine, no problems with high G's, no moving parts afterall.

Anyway, does anyone know where I could buy a little rubber bung to fit over the mini-USB port?

Mine keeps getting clogged with fluff as I keep my keys in my pocket, and also a black cover would make it look even more discreet... ;)

just buy another, they're only £10.

Just recieved another one of these, looks like the same model but its on charge at the moment. Plugged it into the PC and the orange light is flashing ... my old one didn't.

Any ideas what this might be?

Cheers

Hi there.

Just tried RealMedia Producer and it converted a 900mb clip to a 77mb one with no apparent loss of quality, which was nice.

However, I ended up with a .rmvb file which Photobucket wont accept as a video upload. Granted, I didn't change to RM10, I left it at RM9 in the options but will that make a difference at all?. What does changing to RM10 do exactly?.

Anyone else have any suggestions for converting the vid clips as far as good progs go?. Thanks!!!.

I used that to upload to youtube. I'm not sure how much difference RM10 does, i followed a guide and it worked well for me so thought id post it (:

You might not be able to use it with photobucket, sorry :(

No worries m8, thanks for the info. What guide was it you followed and posted, got a link?. Thanks.

Quick clip of me on my Aprilia RSV Mille. Really rubbish footage as I had the camera mounted upside down and facing too far down from where it was sat on the chin bar on my helmet. So all you get is footage of me getting my gloves on etc at the start and then footage of the dash and bars of the bike. Lesson learned - be careful where you position the camera next time!!!. :D
