Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

Looks a tad expensive, pretty sure for that price you can get good branded like sandisk ones form retailers. You have to look out in this market for faulty fakes, my dad bought a 512mb sd ages ago and it corrupted one in every 3 or 4 pictures taken with our digicam and films always failed miserably until we bought a proper SD card.

9 quid at ocuk for Kingston... If you shop around you can find it for 7 quid 9 p, a 4gb sandisc micro SF /tf card at a certain retailer...

Ah, apology in order. It was to do with the distance selling, though that only applies to the EU, sorry. They are not required to pay for the return, though good sellers do.

Ebay kind of advocates it here:
Seller - If you accept that your item has arrived damaged, you should refund the buyer in full. If the buyer has returned the item to you, you could also refund return postage costs but this is at your discretion. If the item is not broken (for example a piece of electrical equipment that the buyer may have not known how to work) you should advise the buyer and send it back to them (by trackable means). If the item the buyer has sent back to you is not your original item (for example a similar but broken piece of electrical equipment) you should contact the buyer to ensure that a genuine error has not occurred. In the event of fraud being attempted, you should report the matter to the Police. There is an excellent eBay Guide on 'Reporting Fraud to the Police'.

To those motorcyclists who have got these, where are you mounting them on your bikes - the forward facing ones that is?.

I can't work out where to mount mine. Velcro squares, heavy duty stuff works a treat, it's just the location of the mount I cant work out. I have a dark tinted double bubble screen on my RSV so behind the screen on the top of the dash surround is out. Haven't tried it on the front mudguard yet, might give that a whirl. I had it on my lid the other day but getting the angle right is a pain and as seen by the vid clip I uploaded all I ended up with was footage of my hands and the dash.

Just been out for a quick run and got about 17 mins of footage from a rearward point of view - had one of the cameras sat on top of my seat hump facing backwards. Will upload in a bit.

^ haha, pity about the low light performance of these. Though these are small, it might be a bit suspicious when someone surrounds their bed with various lamps.

Anyone know of UK sellers of the #3 model? I could really do with one by next Friday, I don't mind paying a little more to get it faster.

I am assuming that these charge over USB, can you also record as it is charging? The reason I ask is because I recently built myself a MintyBoost charger which can charge my iPhone 3G about 1.8 times so it should have no problem with something lower powered.

Nope no cam usage while a USB connection is active either charge only or data+charge.

Do you have any details regarding making a MintyBoost charger, that looks mint! Where to buy the parts and how to build one :)

Yep, that's the place to find the designs and instructions, all open source. I modified the PCB design to be single sided and added another battery connection as I wanted to etch the board myself and use 4 batteries rather than 2. I managed to order a free sample of the boost converter IC (LT1302) from the manufacturer and got the other parts from an electrical retailer (all standard components).

You can download and look at my design on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2144

I also have a few more pictures on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rb-rt/sets/72157623821025090/

Right so i've got my camera, and memory card. First problem is its not showing up when plugged into my pc? The orange light is on when its plugged in so i assume its charging?
