Mirrors Edge: Gameplay Video

This has got me thinking, why hasn't someone made gaming keyboards with pressure sensitive movement keys (w,s,a,d) ? I'm not sure how you'd do it and still retain the normal digital functionality (for typing, etc), but I'm sure it can be done somehow.

In any case I guess they can use the approach, where the mouse wheel is used for adjusting speed; something that worked very sucessfully in the Splinter Cell games imo.

Well the PS2 has pressure sensitive buttons and a modern keyboard button works the same way sans pressure pad so it would not be that hard to implement! Good money making idea methinks!

Its a great idea, but it falls down by the games. PC games are designed for digital on/off controll. having presure sensitive keys would require the keys to be treated as axis. Something which most games do not support. Even a lot of console games have limited analogue adjustment of speed.

It doesnt change that its a bloody good idea though

Cheers for the links. I'll try and keep the main post updated as there's going to be lots of videos with e3 next week.

This is definitely one of the top games I'm looking forward to find out more about.

Ah right, so your a courier transporting information for mobs etc in a world where everythign is monitored. And theres thye whole skapegoat thing too. Sounds good.

I think this game could be like Ico was to me. A good game made into an epic game by the atmosphere it created.

what's good about it is that it's refreshingly different.

getting a bit bored of the samey samey games that they're rolling out atm.
