Miscreated (post-apocalyptic, survival-based sandbox game)

Is it actually about survival or is it a shoot on sight PVP fest?

Honestly it's quite KOS, but there are some friendlies out there, someone has actually picked me up in police car, I was walking down the road and I heard a car, I stopped and expected to be ran over, he pulled over and told me to get in.

I have had similar experience.
Just picked it up a few days ago on Humble Bundle and only been playing it for about 6 hours but so far looks good. No crashes or major bugs. Has got a mix of friendlies and bandits. And when I run into others, players seems a bit wary of each other as you never know if you are going to get shot in the back.
Houses seem to be quite repetitive in terms of layout. More than once I felt I had been in the same house a few times before but the area was different. And dont quite understand base building when their are existing housing structures around which you cant change. ie boarding up an entry to a house instead of building one from scratch.
I keep getting drawn to it quite frequently, even if only for short duration of time.

Not seen a survival game with such slit opinions before. I love this game, runs well on my modest rig, looks fantastic, the map design is THE best in genre it has a true apocalyptic feel to it (and I absolutely love what the devs are doing to Chernarus on DayZ Standalone) loot is hard to come across and ammo is scarce, looting brings its own dangers because you need to search high and low using a torch, meaning your weapon is holstered, and light is going to attract attention of nearby players. Fixing up a vehicle is very rewarding (as it is in DayZ Standalone now). My Two main gripes are, player mentality it's very KOS even more so than DayZ, the other being base building, it just pointless and poorly implemented, if I was in charge of the games development I would scrap it completely, and just bored up houses and set up traps and be able to modify existing structures a little.
I like the game and it has great potential, not my favourite survival game, that title goes to Rust (especially with the new component system) but Miscreated has potential to be great and I recommend it to anyone who likes this genre, it worth the cost just to see the wonderful map design!

/r/hailcorporate :D

Is there a group playing this? Looks fun but not something I fancy soloing.

I just bought it in the sale mate if your still interested, wasn't going to unless I've friends to go in with me, but Nexus and Josh not sure whether or not to get it at this point. So I just took the gamble, and started out going solo...not advisable but at least I can start playing it.

Game is very nice, looks great, performs 60fps most of the time, has true apocalyptic feels, not had a KOS yet. This will do until Conan Exiles arrives on 31st Jan, or they finally fix ARK (which I get the feeling will never run how we want it to)

I'm buying it in about an hour dude.

nice, there is an annoying bug at the moment which has just affected me, dont get to attached to your loot and gear :( Logged back onto server and I've lost all my gear and loot :( Just reading on discussion board its affecting others too.

Great fun on this today, really like it, 3 hours has just flown by. Saw this dodgy character waving a torch from the trees ;)

We then head off to loot and find our feet. My partner though, as he found more and more weapons, started to come out of his shell a little :)

Oh, and a crazy south american speaking picked us up in a taxi and chauffeured us around the island, talking about all kinds of crazy stuff, very funny.

Best 2h of gaming I've had in a long, long while.

Well worth £7.49, some slight buggy bits but great fun. Can't believe I blew up Raul's taxi though, hope he doesn't mind.

Sounds and looks good!

You using a sweetfx config Tony? Looks much better than the videos I have seen!

Will buy it later on, always got the 2 hour refund window if it runs like **** for me.

Although this is game breaking :( Here's hoping they concentrate on fixing it unlike ARK's developers, dinos that you spend hours taming are missing when you log back on, ark developers - "who cares, lets bring out some paid for DLC"...

No mate just straight out the box, no tweaks to pallette.

Yeah bug just turned up after update last day or so, reading around its happened before and was fixed promptly.

The game runs well Nexus, performance for me is great, same with 1Tap.

No SFX that's what it looks like in game.

Yeah but you 2 are running newish i7's :p I am still on first gen i5 lol...

Nice! Shall be on around 7/8 and give it a good blast. What time you 2 back on?

EDIT:

Any configs/settings I need to do?

EDIT:

And bought.

I'm on a 3rd generation mate, it might be at 4.6ghz but it's still very old. I'm sure if needed you could get your chip up above 4.4GHz with little effort, but I honestly don't think you will need to.

I've got mine set to very high on all graphic options, smaax1 and sits between 50fps and 70fps which for a early access game at 1440p on a mid range 390, is kinda impressive. I just wish ARK would be the same.

For £7.50 its a bit of a steal, i dont mind it sitting in my steam library between each update at that price. It will keep me interested as something different until Conan comes in a month or so. I'm really intrigued at Conan Exiles, I'm super hyped for it.

Yeah probably could but won't be going any higher than 4GHz due to temps etc. Will see how I get on later tonight. I suspect I will have to drop draw distance and shadows a bit to maintain a minimum of 50fps 90% of the time.

Sounds good performance wise for you, if the game isn't too CPU heavy, I should get about the same or possibly a bit higher since lower resolution.

Same, still much prefer arks setting but if it runs better and doesn't have any annoying bugs then it will be god enough and if not, then I'll just stick with miscreated (assuming all goes well tonight :p)
