Ahhh good more Laws and situations that will only affect men and not apply the same standards to women.

As said in another thread how about evening things up in family law, crime gap, health gap, education/university gap/pay gap and positive discrimination towards women?

Nottingham Police better go and arrest Jim Carrey as in the mask he wolf whistled Cameron Diaz as a wolf! Double evil that! In other news Police arrest daffy duck... Does he? Fuzzy duck?

Well yes. But, to be fair, it's not necessarily the case that all 50% were negatively affected. Much like I'm not negatively affected by the chuggers which accost me every other time I'm walking the highstreet on my lunchbreak. Well, no more than slightly irritated.

And it there not a risk that even a less aggressive approach would see less than 50% appreciating it?

As I said, i wouldn't do it myself, and there are different types of such behaviour. But it's difficult to say it's all 'wrong'.

(it's worth a listen to that podcast, by the way. I don't think it set out to have the effect of sympathising with cat-callers, but it certainly did that for me)

There are no new laws, there will be no arrests.

Can't we go back to the good old days when women were made for cooking, making babies and cleaning? A pat on the bum was a compliment then too, win win.
 
Where is this country at with regard to womens rights/status in society/equal pay and all the rest?

I can vaguely remember the 90's when the phrase, 'male chauvinist pig' was quite common to hear or read'. I thought things were generally pretty good for women on the whole.
 
So misogyny is now a hate crime to help protect from harassment. If only we already had legislation to protect everyone from harassment....:rolleyes:

There was that sexual assault abuse doing the rounds recently, where they pointed out various scenarios and said how they're actually abuse, and in every single scenario the man was the perp and the woman was the victim. Interesting stuff.


Anyway, if women want equal rights then we should start in the ring. No more male / female classes, just one big fight.

My understanding is that there's still large disparity at board level between male and female pay, but that females under 35 are better paid than males, on average.

It's one of those subjects that has so much spin and misinformation that it's difficult to know whose data to trust.
