ouch. I knew yellowspeed would be garbage but its interesting to see a technical analysis of exactly how garbage they are :D

also lol at completely unexpected outcome of thread...

Still doesn't stop people falling over themselves to fit them along with the rest of the garbage around.

this is why i want the thread deleted but he wont !!!!!

i cant stay away from here, right i need a distraction, something much cheaper to forget about this bloody car, it's time for a new tv, which i'm after anyway.

i'm off to currys

You could have spared yourself all this "pain"by actually thinking / waking up prior to posting the thread in the first place.

Oh well, until the next "I can browse whatever and pretend I want / can afford it" thread that are so prevalent here, and why we have so little time for such time wasters. :/

Starts off wanting to buy an Evo..........ends up buying a TV.

no the tvs are rubbish, no better than my Panny, that was a waste of time, same quality of tvs as last year.... i only liked the Sonny and the Sammy SUHD but not enough to buy one:cool:

now these Coilovers, it's the same as the flipping tyres........crap
so that's another grand to fix, so that's 2 grand including the tyres, so what's this car's true value then because it looks like about 8k, but he deffo wont accept that

HSD coilovers can be had for a lot less than you think:

They are supposed to be quite good.

4 tyres won't cost a grand.

yes ok, more like 600 to 800...plus 580 for the Coilovers.....uuum

he said 10.2 k yesterday....down from 10.4k, but his trump card is the car is in great condition and that'll keep the price up, esp when you see how bad the other Evos are

AD08R and the likes are good, but I'd be inclined to get something like the new Michelin PS4 till you get fully used to the car. Besides, you don't need to get either suspension or tyres just yet. Save up a bit or whatever, however poor the Yellowspeed coilovers are, they're bound to be better than 18 year old OEM suspension that came with the car. As Des has said, the yellow V looks clean, I'd be going for it with a bit of haggling, plus getting an Evo specialist to give it the once over for full peace of mind. If you know what to look for then the tell tale signs can be spotted very quickly. Des and I walked away from an VIII last year within about 15 minutes and we didn't even drive it.

Can't express how much I hate that term... realistically if someone wants something enough they could always finance themselves up to the eyeballs to make it happen. I've seen it done by someone who most definitely could not 'afford' to do it.

When shopping for a v8 Esprit (1.5 years searching) I had the funds sat in my account and viewed about 7 cars. Some let me test drive them, others took me out in them and one flat out refused to do either. Fortunately none of them were for me (various reasons, mostly paperwork not stacking up, cars not as described etc) and my Noble was definitely the one so all worked out ok in the end :)

Coincidentally the Noble was one of the two cars I viewed where I felt I was taken seriously which drastically increased the likelihood of me throwing caution to the wind :D

That comment was obviously not aimed at people like you and clearly aimed at specifically this thread...I mean you just have to read it.

I mentioned it before and I think someone else did. Why does it not have the OE steering wheel?

If the owners have it and just liked someone a little racey, fine. If not, why is it there?

You'd probably need up on a lift to have a good look round the front to make sure nothing was bent.

the Evo wouldn't harm me at all if i got it financed, i only need to work an extra day a week to cover that.................it's if it suffers a major fault.

yes, it's only done 43k miles, the standard steering wheel should be fine, it also had a different Gear Knob.... different radio and a Sun roof.

the previous owner pimped up the interior, after all, it is very plain.... unfortunately it looks naff

So on your normal wage you can't afford the finance - you are having to rely on an extra days work to cover it? Sounds like you are overstretching yourself to me, and that's before something major goes wrong with it.
