Looks epic, so many updates there, some I'm not interested in but some look very interesting.

What I couldn't work out from that is with facebook messages (not chat) are they integrated and visible on the home screen (or even better the lock screen)?

Hopefully Whatsapp and Skype will be available shorty too although I'm guessing that Skype won't be fully integrated because of issues with operators.

Wp7 do indeed look amazing and with proper support unlike android and seems to be not only catching iOS but soon to jump ahead of it. But as I've said before, until they bring a tablet out, which I understand will be windows8 based then it's a no go for me and I expect a he'll of a lot of other people.

That does look pretty good actually!

I just hope Google keep on top and keep working to make Android is the best OS

You kind of get that feeling that guestlist to the mobile OS party has been made and WebOS, Symbian, Meego and BB OS7 have been left behind. I think this time next year, the number 2 OS could be WP7, makes you wonder what WP8 has to offer and with 1 release supported on all phones, could make Android look a little old hat.

I think personally that next year will see massive changes in the mobile world, not only will you have WP7 "Mango" out in the open but also Android OS4 which are both going to go head on with iOS5, its going to be a fun time for gadgets in 2012.. Now if only someone would hurry up and invent the hover board in time for 2015!

thats a bit strong isn't it?

Why?
Many people hate apple, apple is also only one brand and one phone.
Although wp7 has set hardware it is more open, but without the massive disadvantages of android. I can fully see windows phones over taking iOS especially with nokia backing.
Apple don't really mind as they are. A premium product and although their share of the Market might full as long as their profit continue to increase they don't mind.

I think wp7 will become the best os.
Android to have the biggest Market share
And iOS to be a premium but sucseful product.

Am I the only one that thinks new Windows mobile OS gui is god damn ugly/clunky? It is horrible to use and very intrusive. You have limited view of your data at any one time. Currently WP7 has made only a tiny impact on the mobile world, I am not expecting this to change. WebOS is still superior to use, even the original WebOS version release on the original Pre is better than WP7 now. WebOS 3.0 is even better...

If it was the same as everyone else, it would be even worse. They have done something different to stand out, even if it isnt to everyones taste, it has appeal because it is something new. The fact is that the OS is only good as the eco system to support it, IE, Bing, Xbox, Maps, Office, messenger and the tie in with Facebook mean that Microsoft is in a lot stronger position than HP and RIM, and to an extent, Apple.

from what I have seen so far Android has nothing to worry about - there absolutely nothing that appeals to me on WP7.

Concur - WebOS will take off this year, leaving Android, WP7 and iOS eating dust.

But then I would say that, what with be a HP employee and all :-)

Aye, More whitespace than data, and that silly idea of chopping titles off better not catch on.

just managed to get an LG optimus 7 E900 for £136 off ebay, made a cheeky best offer - just in time for mango:)

should be a nice upgrade from a nokia 6700.
