MobileMe Launching (Early) Thursday!

slightly sidetracking, but has anyone noticed that the web interface does not allow a proper uk address layout? only USA, Japan and a couple of others...

so basically, if you enter an address in online, it pops up in your address book in leopard as an american address and has a ZIP code etc...

can't see anyway to set this right either... any ideas?
 
Just one more thing to add to the list of bug they're going to have to squash before everyone's happy :)
 
How exactly does the dock sync work? Does it just add the applications which are common to your Macs in any order (on the dock)?

The Apple blurb says that when you sign into mobileme using OS X prefs it should automatically set up Mail. It don't.
 
I just got an email from the mobile me team saying i get another 30 days free because they pre-authed £121 instead of £60 from my credit card so i now have 120days free on the trial with the fist 30day extention we got at the beginning of the week.

Got that too. It's not reflected in my account info yet though. I'll keep an eye on it.
 
I got it too however I will be contacting them and asking for more compensation as I have emailed them 3 times until now about the problem with no response to any. Support is pathetic and it shouldn't of even happened in the first place.
 
Well I bought my mobileme subscription yesterday and activated it today only to find that mail is not working. :(

Judging by the amout of posts on Apple's forums I severely doubt it's only 1% who are affected. This is terrible service from Apple and I am not happy at all, thank god I am not one of those people who have lost all their mail thanks to Apple screwing the server up.

Oh by the way, if you would like your iDisk icon to be manly go here. :)

Strange, I've never had a problem getting onto the MobileMe Mail since last weekend after the initial failing of everything :confused:

Although it is by far not my primary email address yet. I'm still having misgivings about converting to it just simply based on this whole launch mess.

I don't understand how it won't work for 1% and for the other 99% it's fine. You'd think it would either be not working, a bit hit-or-miss but for everyone and not a certain group of people, or working. It just doesn't make sense!?

I have never, ever, had Gmail not work for me. EVER. And that's a free service!
 
Was down for about 6 hours yesterday and then everything was fine again.

Down again now, this really isnt good enough for what I paid.
 
My mobile me sync's all round ie mac and the cloud however the only thing that doesnt sync is my calender to the cloud however it sync's to my mac?

I thought it went from my iphone - cloud - mac and vise versa.

Strange all of a sudden, it's up and running again. Temperamental or what!

Also still no sign of the extra 30 days promised of free usage, i wonder if they'll still honor this?
