Just look like big blocks of rubber, with other blocks inside. I don't see why it would be a problem.

Thank God they have that barrier technology, did what it was designed to.
Good news about Perez being conscious and talking.

A shame for him, given his performance so far this weekend. Can't imagine he'll be racing this weekend?

Can't see the track having the pace left in it for anyone to take pole away from Vettel.

Far less energy with an unattached tyre than a wheel with tyre attached.

Not only is the tyre a lot lighter it also will have lost all its pressure when fitted to wheel. Much less dangerous.

They're either hollow or foam filled depending on the block type, you get absorbent (hollow) and reinforced (foam filled, with a metal sheet).

The idea being that the reinforced blocks are the 'front line' to keep a strong impact face with absorbent blocks behind them to absorb the impact energy.

RBR always turn the engine wick up on q3 or do something and bang in unbeatable times.
