Monaco Grand Prix 2012, Monte Carlo - Race 6/20

10 place grid drop isn't enough. If he doesn't even have a car for qualifying *which is possible* it's a drop from 24th to.... ?

Needs to sit out the race.

So deliberately driving into someone isn't as bad as having 2kg too little fuel in the car. Imagine how severe the penalty would be if he hadn't put enough fuel in the car as well...

Massa finished 2nd in today's practise.
This weekend at least, that Ferrari looks genuinely fast (using Massa's lap times as a gauge).

I fancy Alonso to win this one. He has got a car capable of winning this and has no excuses. For the first time in a very long time I think Alonso has one of the best cars on the grid, so tomorrow's race should be interesting. I want to see just how good this guy is (when he has a great car).

Hello everyone, come in from the sunshine to watch qualy. Can't help every time I see the tunnel here I shout "I've been in there!!" :D

Be interesting to see Damon eat his microphone if Hammy doesn't get pole and win ;)

Oh, and a potter round the harbour in Georgie's little vessel?  :D

I s******ed at that as well! :D (ha apparently I can't type s******? snig ger)

sunama, do you remember in quali I think it was when schumacher was recovering from a spin and rejoined the track from the slip road, getting right in hamiltons way? Well it wasn't a spin, but schumacher deliberately taking the slip road as a shortcut to get in front of Hamilton, then stopped right on the apex that Hamilton was about to take, while gesticulating at him, forcing hamilton to take evading action.

Schumacher's incident still was nowhere near as bad as Maldonado's bumper car mayhem. What are we doing with **** like this on the track? Ridiculous.

What did MSc do to Hamilton in the last race? I missed this.

Missed the stupid chicane at the end of the lap, went round the old corner and parked it on the exit of the chicane before going into the pits to tell Hamilton on the track "I'm annoyed you're faster than me and were backing off a little winding up for a lap whilst I was driving my mess of a car back to the pits for ice-cream and a shouting at for being rubbish"

Basically nearly caused an accident for being a sad old man

Damn, looks like Williams have it rebuilt the car for Maldonado.

So the penalty was for causing an avoidable accident. Didn't rule on if it was deliberate or not.

Light is green, Q1 underway.

Right, just tuned into the online BBC show as I'm in work :(

What has Maldonado done do get a grid penalty already? Q1 hasn't started yet!

Deliberately left the racing line to drive into Perez.

There's a video earlier in the thread, or you could just look at Spa last year for something similar except with Hamilton instead of Perez.
