See another strategy for Hamilton is that pushing Rosberg beyond the pace he wants to run for a one stop strategy could force an earlier stop and force both cars back in to traffic when they pit, if they pit early. If they went around at 2/10th's faster than third, or like last year backing everyone up, then they could one stop easily.
Hamilton pushing can up the pace and force a strategy change which could hurt both or either driver. But even coming 4th behind ROsberg in 3rd is better for Hamilton than coming 2nd to Rosberg's 1st. So pushing him could help Hamilton further in the race. Cruising round for a simple one stop with no one able to pass them would give him very little chance to beat him.
