Horner says that Versplatten has received a brutal lesson and they hope he's smart enough to learn from that.

Well, he's not learnt so far this year.

Of all the lessons to learn this is probably the hardest. Clearly the RB is by far the fastest car this weekend. It could gave been a Monaco win for him, and all the drivers covet that particular accomplishment.

Shame for Lewis. Looked like he had Vettel on that last lap until he ruined the final sector.

Looks very close between the Ferraris and Mercs.

race decided, as this track has zero overtaking.

first race im not going to be able to watch live in a good few years but its the best track not to. not a fan of Monaco past quali so not to fussed.

I'm in awe at how fast they're going around the streets these days. The speed they're carrying into the corners is hard to comprehend.

I remember watching Berger from his front-wing end plate at Monaco in 1995 and that was the moment the teenage me realised I'd never be an F1 driver, but those laps look pedestrian now and they were they were doing lap times 11 seconds slower in qualifying than now (admittedly a couple of corners were a bit tighter, but still).

That's why I don't mind Monaco remaining on the calendar as a one-off and can completely forgive the lack of overtaking. It's still an immense challenge and a joy to watch them dancing them through the streets.

Still, the GP2 sprint race was very entertaining until the safety cars spoiled the final laps, so it's not all been bad.

I hope Lewis gets past Vettel. Still, if Lewis only comes third and Vettel remains in second, Lewis will still be way ahead with 110 points, and Vettel will be on 96. So Lewis hasn't got much to worry about this weekend, other than keeping his car from going into the walls.

Probably more likely :D

Qually was enjoyable, always enjoy watching the cars nail it round the streets here even if the race is always pretty dull.

Trolling at its finest...
The drivers deserve some respect and interest in watching them only because they drive on the edges for two hours. No much overtaking is needed. Even though that if we were to be objective, overtaking does happen there, as well.

Red Bull will have a difficult decision to make with Max at some point if he keeps this up.

His outright pace is obviously brilliant and he is up there with the best in sheer speed. But as a complete racing driver who might win a title? I'm not so sure. A few crashes may point to inexperience/immaturity, but a crash in every race so far this season may point to something more fundamentally damning to his ability to be a champion.

He's like an RPG player who puts maxes their speed stat but leaves everything else at 1 at the start of the game :D

The FIA technical delegates weren't entirely satisfied that the Ferrari were in compliance with the Regs, but didnt have enough evidence to take to the stewards. So Ferrari made some software changes and after FP1 the FIA tech delegates are now happy.

So, yeah, that sounds like they were caught out.
