Red Bull will have a difficult decision to make with Max at some point if he keeps this up.
His outright pace is obviously brilliant and he is up there with the best in sheer speed. But as a complete racing driver who might win a title? I'm not so sure. A few crashes may point to inexperience/immaturity, but a crash in every race so far this season may point to something more fundamentally damning to his ability to be a champion.
Yes, this. I think the decision to bring him into F1 so young and then promote him so quickly is increasingly looking questionable. He's no longer a newbie; he should have learnt how to behave in F1 by now and he hasn't. Causing the crash with Riccardo in Baku was probably the most glaring of his errors this season but the rest have been marked by an inability to properly predict and respect other drivers as well as a tendency to lose his head when he finds himself on the backfoot.
Now there are elements of this in some F1's current best drivers, but Max is far more guilty than others. If he doesn't show a dramatic improvement I wonder how long they will keep faith with him.
