Monaco on the F1 calendar is a bit like Italy in the rugby Six Nations; from a sporting perspective not really doing much but kept for other reasons; in a normal season Monaco is the glitzy race where celebs and sponsors and schmoozed by the teams; that's why its still here.
Similarly Italy get kept because the fans love an away trip to Rome; even if the sporting spectacle is usually dire.

At best it needs to be an exhibition race, outside of the race calander/points, maybe stick it just prior to that start of the season just after testing. They can still have the glitz/glam, properly show off the cars in preparation for the start of the season proper.

Well this is a done deal. Pleased for Norris and Sainz. Sainz especially because he was gaining on Max at some stages. Norris is just very strong this year, last race aside, happy to see him on the podium yet again. Well deserved. We need more drivers like this and rid of the cockroaches.

Is this the track where Hammy has lost the championship?

I doubt it. One bad track with no overtaking, a poor qualifying where it's essential to be at the front, and screw-ups from the strategy team at Mercedes. Mercedes have a bad weekend, RBR have a good one, but overall it's only one race, and you can't win a championship by getting crumbs from the table. I expect Mercedes to be very strong at other tracks, especially when RBR lose their bendy wings.
