Monaco represents everything that is wrong with F1. Why is it even on the calendar at all? To attract the plastic fans who are just their to show off their wealth because Monaco. Its certainly not their to entertain the fans. It wasnt missed last year, its time to get rid of it.

Drivers seem to like it. The sport isn't 100% all about the fans.

I get the impression Monaco is important to the teams. It's where they bring their VIP guests and make deals with sponsors. These people, mostly, aren't F1 fans. They care about the glitz and glamour more than the racing.

We all knew it was going to be bad. Unless it rains in Monaco it's one of the worst things about the F1 season. Not even qualifying could offer any excitement this year after Leclerc stuffed it.

Hamilton is a whiny bitch when things aren't going his way. I bet he is a nightmare to work with.
All highly motivated people are. It's just you get to hear it more during an F1 race. Imagine what you'd hear if footballers were mic'd up all the time.

As I said earlier in the thread, go and watch the Formula-E race from two weeks ago, and that can show you how exciting a race around the track can actually be. It is a shame F1 cars just go around following each other, with no entertainment at all.

he's a 7 time world champion who felt let down by the strategy & car this weekend. He said himself he didn't extract the maximum out of the car yesterday as well.

Should he be happy? No - course he's going to be upset, frustrated etc - I don't get this "hate" for Hamilton. He's upset/frsutrated - he's not whining about it. He's telling it like it is....poor weekend, we (the team and myself) need to do better.

Yeah. Monaco is what's wrong.

Not the Tilkedromes in countries that buy a race as an ego trip. Not the car rules that have the teams building hybrid power London buses. Not the lack of opportunities for young drivers, or the dumb-**** tyre rules, or the insanity of the stewards decisions, or the costs of building an engine for this utterly ridiculous formula.

Nope. It's Monaco that's the problem.

Wonder how much Ricardo is being paid over Lando, has he ever done well? People keep saying he's a great driver but I haven't seen him do anything remarkable.

I’m quite sure Lando has had a significant pay increase with his new deal. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s £5-£10m a year with some big performance bonuses. Still probably less than Ricciardo though but he’s a proven race winner.

He's got a lot of wins for a driver who hasn't been in leading cars, he whipped Vettel the year after his run of wins, and he only lost to Max in one of three years and even that took astonishingly bad reliability.

Has there been any explanation of what happened to Bottas yet?

The nut "machined" onto the axle is their official word on it.

He had an easy podium I think, he was close to Max before the stop, but it would have been the only race he beat Lewis this season DNFs aside. I'd love him to do better but it just isn't going to happen now.
