What an absolute snooze that second half was. If Hamilton couldn't pass Alonso purposely driving as slow as my dead Grandma, then there's no chance of anyone passing anyone at true racing pace.

Thank God it was wet at the start, just a shame it dried.

I'm hoping hamilton slowed down to screw him over after the antics of ocons defending earlier in the race. No way to pass on this track so no harm in slowing

Another classic Monaco race. Good fun if you’re rich, fun if your a driver(at the front) and seemingly really exciting if you’re a commentator. For everyone else it’s pretty awful… lol

I just wish Monaco would die. It's an old relic and these cars are completely inappropriate. The sad thing is, they're inappropriate for many great tracks.

Edit: Aside from Zhou nearly binning it, and Tsunoda seemingly incapable of taking turn 1 did anything happen at all after that restart?

The rain laps and pits were fun as they always are here. Once it dries out it's always a snooze-fest.

Nice win by Perez. Ferrari are well known for having terrible strategy. It wan't great today but wasn't the worst. Their problem was the same as all the front runners was waiting to go onto the inters when others on them were already lapping 2-3 seconds faster. They were concerned about getting stuck in the pack, not much they could do there really. Even Sainz who correctly overruled his team on tyres ended up pitting later than ideal, but again not much more he could have done otherwise he'd have been held up behind Noris.

Love the troll by Alonso. Why not huh. It's actually what the leaders did in one of the recent F1 races here, really holding up the field and lapping some 4-5 seconds slower than normal pace.

Alonso forgetting that modern F1 cars have 8 gears, not 6?

Better than 99% of Monaco GP’s but still a track I’d prefer to see removed from the calendar.

Classic Ferrari with poor strategy calls, starting extra early this season. Happy for Perez, nice to see him get a win.
