No idea about the fan.
Did you plug HDD in after you finished loading OS, etc. ? Not saying you might have forgotten or anything like that... Just I've done things like that a time or three.
Fan is a loose/faulty connection
It's on the case too, not the fan, so I really can't be bothered to return it!!
I've pushed it all together tightly and it's now working great, fingers crossed it stays that way...
The HDD is more troubling....
I have
this HDD, and it's powered by a daisy chained SATA power cable from the PSU.
It's actually the first drive plugged in, then further down the cable is the SSD and finally the BD rom. Both of which work great.
It's attached to the mobo by the second of the two blue (SATA3) cables that came with the mobo.
The mobo has two SATA3 slots.
The SSD (boot drive) is plugged into slot 1 and the newly installed HDD is plugged into slot 0.
Could this be my problem?
Can't find anything of significance in the manual about socket 0, but it doesn't sound right!!
