Mondeo ST24

Nice arty Ghayer X photo's versus the manky PH photo's:p

My seats were electric and I had a TripC,Side airbags,and a 6cd changer.

The seats are way better on the ST, you slide around on the GhayerX seats a bit too much for my liking

you must be 5ft2 then :p I stay within the bolsters very well and dont slide, but my gf does slide a bit more.

They're not arty photos, they're just slightly better quality. Doesnt change the horrible seat patterns, the black plastic dash, the lack of cruise control on the steering wheel etc.

I never used to slide around in the seats either. Ok, so the leather is seriously crap and feels like the sort of thing Staples use on cheap office chairs but it wasn't slippy.

Isnt this the exact comparison i did with vauxhall/ford leather on IRC the other day and got told off for being a snob? :p

5ft 6 3/4 actually:p

Funny thing is mine wasnt a black dash, it was grey and the centre console was a silvery metallic finish.I think youve picked the mankiest ST you could find:d

My girlfriend has a nice W reg Ghia Mondeo, its got all the toys (of which she uses none!) I have an LX TD Mondeo with no toys bar 'leccy front windows.

Fuel will be an issue on a V6, but from the average 37MPG the 2.0 Ghia my girlfriend 's car gets, I'd have thought not on the 2.0

Despite her cars 170k miles, I've been surprised with its speed & economy - and reliability given the £350 price!

My friend sums up 6 pots well.

He has a Renault Van for work uses and he gets to take it home & us it privately if he wants.

He also has a nice Y plate Vectra V6 (2.7 iirc) which he only runs at weekends.

Much as he loves the performance of the Vectra, it goes very well, he'd hate to have to use it daily.

He averages about 24mpg in the Vectra, I'd imagine a Mondeo V6 would be not that much better or worse.
