Money DOES Grow on Trees

I don't give a crap, as long as I got loads of it I'm cool.

DAT ASS.

Just re-reading this again and the thread title makes no sense at all. Is the OP suggesting that he believes money DOES grow on trees. Because - and I should preface this by stating I'm not an Accountant or qualified in the enonomics field - I'm pretty sure that it doesn't. That'd be leaves (which are not money).

Hope this helps, OP.

Well, since you all know so much about money creation - why do you tolerate creation by private banks which is a tax upon yourselves (assuming you have money)?

You are paying interest via inflation to the coffers of private banks.

Because having to package up a couple goats and post them to ocuk every time i want to order something would be bitch.

Do you have any idea just how hard it is to bubble wrap a goat!?

When a bank lends some £1k - it doesn't take £1k out of its customers funds to lend. It relies on gross fraud
It isn't fraud

The total 'money' in circulation has increased from £14.1 million in 1963 to circa £1.3 BILLION in 2006.
Yes, because of inflation and moving away from tangible standards. Our country's net worth is worth a lot more than it was then. Rather than being backed by, say, gold, our currency is backed by good faith - basically the sum total of the country's resource.

A colassal amount which the media and school/uni didn't tell you?
Too bad school never taught you how to spell colossal.

Yep, welcome to the real world where YOU know nothing.
Speak for yourself.

How can seemingly educated people not know this? LOL.

WAKE UP DRONES
Hey, mummy is calling - fish fingers are ready.

This thread was made because the thread in Speakers Corner was closed - why?
Idiots aren't welcome.

NEGATIVE.

We are talking about domestic inflation - the increase in the supply of UK pounds.

Our domestic supply is worth now than back then when we actually built industrial goods?

Don't be silly, it everyone else that has to change not him.

This reminds me of the ending of Book 1 of Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy.

Paraphrased:

"Since we all agreed to adopt leaves as legal tender we have all become insanely rich and inflation has risen to the point where it takes roughly a whole dissiduous forest to buy one peanut, to correct this problem we propose to burn down all the trees."

Any of you morons given a valid reason for why we should accept a monetary supply which is dictated by private banks?

P.S. I am not a communist.

So if you specific moron could explain how you bought all this

Hmmm....
