Monster Hunter Online benchmark thread

Yeah well that's a given when you look at the content of some posts Bonjour. If your face fits then any snide comment is 'just a joke', whereas another person writing the same form of material will get a posse of digs at them.

Anyway, as per marine post#80 - pretty obvious something is amiss here. Harldy a useful way of 'benchmarking' anyones hardware when you get such as false score. Will be keen to revisit this when something calibrates the scores to reflect some realism between the brands.

Yer, probably best to seperate AMD from nVidia as AMD are getting a proper sound beating in this. We might have to do the same in the other threads as well, as it just isn't fair :D

Do you not just think that is untill AMD get this game/benchmark optimised? It just seems a bit petty asking for them to be seperated because it favours one brand over the other at this current time.

Ohh so its nothing to do with the game and benchmark it self? a 290x getting badly beaten by 760 sounds about right to you? Why is it that AMD have to do some heavy optimizing to get the card running where it should be? Should it not be the game devs that should do that?

It is petty yes. It's petty that developers will deliberately impact one brand over another just to give the other one which sponsor them more of an advantage and these days i see it happening more with nVidia! Especially where gameworks are involved. It is petty indeed.

 Unfortunately in some people eyes this is the GPU company's fault and not the developers for failing to enable a benchmark to test transparently. It may be an oversight or a mistake that can get ironed out. I wont hold my breath though.

If you want to compare performance side by side, as it stands, this is not the test to run! ;)

Ok, I have seen you often enough flapping about claiming fanboys everywhere blah blah blah but read back what you are saying and take a good look at yourself. Seriously? I don't particulary care for this game/bench and shan't even run a bench but from the vid I watched, it looks a nice game/bench. You are claiming that they are deliberately impacting performance on one brand over the other and I assume you know enough about programming to back this up? I assume you have proof of some description? If not, this just comes across as nothing more than petty fanboyism's and frankly, all the recent posts of yours are just doing the same but yet, most claim that everyone else is a "fanboy". Just give it a rest or take it up with the company/tech sites.

Rant over.

The bench at the default 720p resolution is actually not that nice but if run at high resolution it looks good and at 2160p looks fantastic.

Stupid Elite Dangerous is just hogging all my free time Kaap but I am sure I can squeeze a bench run in if you was to set it up. Set it how you like as well bud and you are the best man for the job :)

It all depends what Cooper who started this thread wants to do first.:)

What this bench really shows is the advantage of using a hi resolution monitor as the difference in quality is quite large going from 720p to 1080p and then even higher.:)

! In your post it appears you were defending the benchmark and discouraging AMD cards. And to say you dont care about this benchmark is a lie, your one of the people who has posted in this thread the most! I wonder why:rolleyes:

You went to the effort of even finding a video of the benchmark and the technologies used in the benchmark then you turn round and say you don't care about it when your one of the people who has contributed the most to the thread? Don't give me that!

Yea i will admit from looking at the benchmark it looks visually appealing here and there and has good textures! However as a benchmark it isn't particularly good when it CLEARLY favors nVidia cards over AMD's. As it stood it would appear this benchmark is only good for benching just nVidia cards, which is why people asked for separate AMD and nVidia benchmarks but you didn't like this for some reason... I wonder why

Well if the devs optimized the benchmark for nVidia cards and didn't bother optimizing the benchmark at all for AMD cards would you not call that deliberately impacting performance on one brand over the other? It is a benchmark after all and it serves a certain purpose! And why on earth would i need proof when its all here in front of your eyes in this thread. Look at the benches its clear. :o

You clearly didn't read my post properly and I don't care for the game/bench but that doesn't stop me enjoying how it looks and I find it comedy gold when it is everyone else's fault and not AMD's. I have had games that have been appaling till nVidia have added the game to the drivers. There is some obscure games out there (like this one) that take time to get added but you clearly understand that AMD have addded the game to the driver list and optimised for it but the devs have omitted dll's etc that AMD need. It makes a whole heap of sense for the game devs to purposefully cripple performance on AMD cards, so they can lose out on revenue.

Blame everyone but AMD is a true fanboys way.

AMD don't make the game the devs do. Its not upto AMD to make up all that performance! Id be saying the same if it was vice versa for nvidia! Game devs are responsible for optimizing thier game on hardware. Just like they do on consoles. But as you can see this game is optimized well for nvidia hardware just not AMD yet its AMDs fault? Like your trying to insinuate? Nah dont give me that. If it was other way round and nVidia had the bad performance i wouldn't be blaming them i would blame the devs.

I can see you don't understand, so I will leave it there.
