I've not played since june, just tried to fire it up and its crashing with a fatal driver error before the game even loads so im going to say no, its not improved lol

They're supposed to have been some update where they've optimised some of the PC stuff. I don't know if they've already implemented it or if it's coming later on this month, but I'll probably be hopping on to check it out. But I haven't played it in ages either.

Tragic, absolutely tragic So no perfs improvements since Capcom were busted reducing performance for people without DLCs thanks to the checks they added. Good to know to continue leaving it greyed out in my steam library Shame really, my Mrs really liked playing it together so it would have been nice to fire it up again (we had finished every fight at the time though!)

It's tough to parse out how performance actually is from all the random posts online. With the 9070XT I'm still getting frequent stutters just hunting in the forest area. There was some mention of rebar or SAM being an issue for AMD cards. Maybe I'll give it a toggle some time.

Has anybody played this recently? I have been out for over half a year and all of a sudden I'm getting suggested loads of Wilds stuff on my Youtube feed despite not having clicked on anything even closely related. Has something happened to improve the game recently maybe?

Hadnt played since a month or so after launch but jumped in Saturday planning to play a few hours but was bored to tears after a few hunts.
Yes performance is improved a lot but man its such an ugly game, MH world still looks better.
Its also still far too easy, here again MH World is a much better game.
The only thing Wilds has over World is some QOL improvements that World could get via mods anyways.
Overall my most disappointing game of 2025, i have about 1100 hours in MHW and really wanted a modern quality update but its nowhere near the mark sadly.
