Well I'm ready and waiting to buy this and a random 22"/24" lcd tomorrow... better not go out of stock. It's worse than buying Spice Girls tickets... erm... ahem :p

that bootdaily review means squat. look how stupid they are:

on the left of that pic, they say higher power consumption is better. for that alone i say that site is not to be trusted.

Maybe they just made a mistake... it happens, particularly when they would be rushing to get the review out.

can see they like the 2900xt. classic case of fanboy run site.

In all honesty, we'd really have a hard time recommending any other card than the 8800GT for purchase at this time – not even the GTX.

They seem to be pretty impressed by the 8800gt.

well going by that site, the 2900xt atleast gets the victory in the powerconsumption test.

if you can call it a victory.

No, they probably just made a mistake and used the same template for the graph as they did for all the others instead of changing it to lower is better. You really don't have to read so much into little things like that :p

They should have done proof reading something before actually publishing it.

Always best to have a back up, nice that it can be a GTS.

I have a 6200 for AGP and a 7300GT for PCI-E.

When you're without they're worth everu pennu :D

I will do my yearly upgrade 2 weeks before christmas and will buy the best video card available for around the £300 mark, I just hope the new GTX is available bye then :)

Well you might be lucky but if not you'll pick up a new 8800 GTS which will be faster than a current GTX and you'll get change :D

im confident im going to walk awayu with £150 for my 320nb gts im actually thinking about waiting a week buying nother 320mb gts for around the £100 mark using the extra funds to upgrade my e2140 as i cant clock it past 2ghz due to mobo what would i see better performance withg an extra 1ghz on the cpu or a 8800gt over a 320mb gts?

Well i've just been digging around in the Crysis config files.

If you have a look in the config folder there are 2 sets of files, one for amd/ati cards and one for nvidia cards.

In each of these files it lists what default mode the card should run in.

Out of all the cards listed only 3 have setting 4 (highest) as their default.

Those cards are:

8800GTX
8800Ultra

And...

8800GT...

I just hope Nvidia realise the demand, thats going to be apparent with this release, and have enough to go round!!!
