More Wiis?

I have a few days off I shall be looking for Wiis while shopping each day. If I find more than one I will buy it and sell it to someone on here for RRP plus postage. It is christmas after all.

Will let you know if and when I get some.

Add me to your list please.

I think if any of us see's some and can buy more than 1, even if they buy 1 extra it's helping 1 more person and keeping them off the bay.

I will buy 1 extra if I see any.

Please, unless my preorder comes through from the unmentionable site

I wish there was more people doing this, I would.
Personally I dont agree with ebay profiteering, couldn't do it myself, but I can see why people do it.

Of course i cant promise anything but I will be shopping everyday next week. If I see any I will buy them, my wife works in town too and she's on the hunt.

BTW thats Cambridge.

What bugs me a bit is when I went into one of the Chain Highstreet retailer today and asked if they have any Wii in stock they told me they have only the pre-ordered ones. You mean there are people out there not picked theirs up after a week !!!  Poor Wii, poor me !

Some pre-ordered ones we're not fullfilled on the first batch so they are on the second delivery of stock they get.

On another forum some people who pre-ordered around the 17th September still haven't had their order sent yet.

It's people like thanks_bob! on the bay that bugs me, selling them & has an image of 16 stacked on top of eachother showing how many he has.

That's what really gets me  . I've got no problem with people making profit but that's 15 people He's fleeced (you could say they're stupid) but it's also 15 'normal' people who wont get one until next year.

At least you know you have a chance, my local 24 hours supermarket isn't even stocking them, yet they have PS2, 360, PSP and DS Lite....why can't they make room for 1 more !!!! :(

Well, I've spent a while trawling the stores since the 8th to try and get lucky, but not easy when you've got a job to hold down. Anyway, I was told to today by some high street places that there was no chance getting off them this year. So it's faith in the supermarkets here, whereas you may have more luck with the high street ones.

16 thats nothing some guy had 75! How in hell does someone get that many!

Im peeved i just found out my preorder won't get full filled till after xmas now...

Problem, is due to the shortage, on forums people are mentioning shops and their stocks and i know people who are posting back having purchased 3+ from the limited stock to sell on ebay....

i can wait, although it would have been fun to have with the family over the xmas period, guess its back to rubbishy old TV again this year :P Still it is quite annoying especially if you having pre-ordered.. pre-orders should be released first to those still wainting before being released to general sale.

Perhaps since the advent of ebay as its a fiasco everytime a console is released that its limted to one pre-order per household, as it is getting really silly now..

At least its not as bad as people buying up tickets for gigs, you know you can eventually get it its normal cost, now that does annoy me :P

Its called "business".

Business is providing a service and getting paid for it , people who buy up the entire market then sell it at vastle inflated prices are called *****.

What a service like locating and procuring a rare and hard to get item to resell at a profit? It is what art dealers do, it is what wholesalers and retailers do.
Let's not forget that you can't sell at inflated prices unless people are prepared to pay them.
Let's also not forget that a games console isn't a life saving vaccine or false limb or a guide dog for blind people. It is a completely unnecessary luxury item and arguably a total waste of scarce world resources.

A little perspective is always a good thing.....

Fleeced implies dishonesty.
I had 2 and sold them both because so many morons are prepared to pay lunatic prices for them, they clearly want one more than I do so I sold both.
I'll buy another if I see one and when auction prices settle down I'll buy one to keep.
As for 15 "normal" people who won't get one till next year you could say that 60 million normal people in the UK won't get one at all ever but 50,000 weird people are buying them.

I still don't have one, i doubt i will, my dad said if i find one before xmas he will buy it for the family but there nowhere to be found :(

Anyone in the Cornwall area know if this crap hole (sry if you love it) is getting any Wiis. Argos hasn't gotten any and my colleges dont have a clue when they will be coming in. Not to mention they took pre orders for once.

They're not locating and procuring a rare item , it's their act of procuring multiple items that has made it rare.

Nintendo claimed that there would be no shortages (which could be marketing ;)) so it leads me to make the possibly incorrect assumption that it's these people that have created the shortage/hype market.

The wii is rare. Fact. Nintendo did not even supply sufficient for the pre-orders let alone last minute shoppers. Therefore the wii is a rare item.

People selling the rare wii have located one to sell. Fact.

People selling the rare item known as the wii that they located have procured it as they have to have paid for it in order to have it to sell it.

SO They are LOCATING and PROCURING a RARE item..... FACT :)

Nintendo did not supply enough consoles (less than 50,000 for our 60 million plus population) to supply the pre-orders alone. Therefore it is not those buying multiple wiis that made it rare but Nintendo who made it rare.
That's a fact too :)
