I still don't have one, i doubt i will, my dad said if i find one before xmas he will buy it for the family but there nowhere to be found :(

So you get one in a couple of weeks instead of today..... is it an issue?

I dont have a problem with people selling them on. If the comapnies really wanted to stop it they could launch with adequate consoles. Or launch with 50,000 as nintendo did wait 3 days then hit the stores with 150,000 more and watch poor saps on ebay that have 75 suddenly realise they were in big doo doo.

I honestly thought there would be more than this. I rushed to pre order a lite and found them plentifull. I thought the same would be true of the wii inside of a week.

I will have a good go at getting some over the next 7 days but I'm not that bothered or desperate. Its for my wife but if I dont get one I will get her one for the end of Jan her Birthday.

Twist his words and drop the "if you can get it before xmas" bit.
Eventually he'll believe he agreed to buy one when you found one...

I wouldn't have a problem with people selling on the 'bay if it wasn't christmas time. People already spend money they don't really have at Christmas time, so to give them the choice of either telling little Timmy he can cry as much as he likes on Christmas day, but no wii for him or pay over the odds becomes a difficult choice. Fleecing idiots is fine, but parents who want to give their children what they want for christmas is a little harsh.

Sounds like bad parenting, imo. There's a show on TV where people can learn to be decent parents, and be humiliated on national TV at the same time. maybe they should sign-up for it.

About time they had a rethink on what Xmas is about then.
Am I supposed to feel sorry for people who think Xmas is about providing the latest gift to spolit children?
It is people with attitudes like that who are destroying Xmas in the first place, it is their desire to satisfy their childrens greed that cause prices to rise.
The greed is in their own home. Their parenting skills are appalling if they are going to be blackmailed by a child and twisted if they are going to claim it is because it is Xmas.
Christmas is nothing whatsoever to do with greedy spoilt kids.

However reprehensible their parenting skills the situation I outline exists in the thousands across England....FACT!

You can't really blame the consumer for the prices going so high when the prices wouldn't go so high had someone not taken chunks of stock out of circulation.

Yes I can. The supplier COULD limit supplies to one per household. The rubbish parents could pre-order and think ahead. The rubbish parents COULD say NO to their kids and teach them a little bit about patience, reward and the value of money.
It takes not just a restricted supply but and inflated demand to create a high price.

I am well aware that there are thousands of parents who don't have a clue about Xmas or about parenting. So what? Weak and stupid parents bringing up spoilt and nasty children who don't plan ahead effectively or teach their kids what Xmas is actually about or teach them that they can't have everything do not deserve sympathy.

Alternatively there are lots of people out there who can simply afford higher prices, will pay £300 plus and who don't want to wait 2 weeks for the console.
I know for a fact that the first one I sold got opened and played the day they received it, it was not a Xmas present.

Agree 100%. The waiting should make the gift that much better. No one has patience in any form of life anymore.

Just ordered mine from one of the most popular online retailers, they have just got more stock and saying they will try to deliver before xmas. :D
My preorder with another site didn't go through so I thought I wouldn't get one till after xmas.
