Yeah hers has just this minute been delivered. I've decided to keep it for her. She's been a good girl this year ;) and she's a bit down as our house purchase fell through on saturday.

Hopefully this will cheer her up while we are homeless.

So she doesn't think she has one I'm gonna pretend to keep looking right up until xmas eve.

Stoopid question time. Does this have a scart connector in the box? I can only see on the contents a RF connector. Dont wanna open it up for a look.
As above, comes with composite and scart adpater.

Sorry to hear about the house, whats the plan now? Our first choice fell through so we ended up back on the market looking, found anotehr and happier now than we would have been in the first place. Whats mean to be, is meant to be.

It has a composite cable (red, white and yellow) with a scart adapter.

Thanks, dont wanna open it up. I don't like getting prezzies myself that look like someone's already had a nosey. If I break the seal she will think I spent all my week off playing it and will attribute that to the whupping's she gets.

In reality we got lucky, took her dad round on saturday for a look. Ours is near exchange. He's a retired builder. First he noticed the slope in the master bedroom floor. Once he mentioned it to me I saw it too. Then he went outside and pointed out the cracks going through the brickwork. Both corners on one side. I was mad at myself for not seeing them. We phoned up to cancel everything. The house is only 7 years old. Turns out the women had already had the NHBC out which she didnt declare on her forms.

We cant hold the chain up any longer on ours, so we are moving in with the inlaws til we find something as this time of year there is nothing.

So zero internet in january :(

I'm sure the Wii will cheer her up a bit, she loves the party type play, especially if she can get her neices etc involved.

Best of luck with the housing situation danny!

At least you've got a Wii to try out sometime ;)

Gotta get myself motivated for an early start saturday in order to queue somewhere ... unless i hear of stock in stores before then !

Yeah, best of luck with finding somewhere else. As you say, it's a blessing in disguise really... much better to have found out just before exchanging than just after.

All things considering, I think you're doing the right thing by keeping your Wii for your missus. You'll score a lot of brownie points ;)

Yeah just wrapping up the ninty stuff now while catching up with lost on sky + :D

Decided to give her all the controllers/points etc on xmas morning before we go to her sisters for dinner. Let her think I failed 'again' ;) Stash the Wii round her sisters wait for her to start biggin up my failure then get her sister to bring it down :D

Party games all round.

Thanks for the good luck messages atleast we will be in a good position as a cash buyer I suppose when stuff hits the market around spring.

A shop in Swansea had 50 the other night, they rang my mate and they went down to queue at 6am, apparently there were people there queuing from 1am

They were 38+ in the queue, been over my mates all weekend and I must say i'm expremely impressed especially with zelda. I would advise if your going to play Wii sports you should have more than one person playing otherwise it gets a little boring so if your going to buy a Wii get another controller or something.

My mum has just got one from (woh that was close) today for £350. 3 games and 2 other things. So I need to find out why so much. Yeh they had 10 in.

That does seem expensive! I got 4 extra games (not including Wii Sports) and an extra controller for under £300.

Seen the SCART leads for £22, what a rip-off

They force you to buy bundles, with games and extra wiimote and what not, taking advantage of the shoppers big time.

Bundles can work out to be good value for money if you're careful.

I got (I should say getting cause they haven't delivered it yet)

Wii Console
Wii Play (with the extra remote)
Zelda
Super Monkeyball

for £251.99 delivered. Not bad if I say so myself.

auctioners are taking advantage of people tbh.

I know if given the choice most people would pay £300 to get the machine and a few games rather than £300 on ebay for just the console.

90% of the people who buy a console will buy a few games anyway so whats the problem.

Auctioners do not set the prices the buyers do. It is silly people prepared to spend well over the odds that inflate the price not the seller ........

Similarly if people REALLY want a cheap one then they can queue up and get one at retail, like I did, 3 times.....

I know but once again it is supply and demand (oh and VIrii thanks for removing the competitor in your quote I forgot where I was for a minute before I saw your edit ;) )

Machines are starting to come through now in larger numbers (we had a batch today that was not expected sold fast though) and most retailers should be getting at least 1 more before xmas.

Oh and I am not saying that people who auction off the consoles are doing wrong.

I would have done the same if given the chance because cash is cash but I just could not be bothered to q overnight anywhere for anything :D .

I am just saying that why should a store sell you a machine on its own, they have offered you a bundle if you don't like it don't buy it, learn how to say no to your kids or if the machine is for you be a little patient

bah the biggest game store got some in to day but only just found out, rang everywhere and they sold out :(

I think if you get up early hit the stores and the web you wont have too many problems getting one this week. There are few people I know that haven't managed to get one that wanted one.

I don't think ringing is the answer. I'd actually hit the stores each day.
