Morrowind then Oblivion?

With all this talk I just installed it so see what all the fuss is about. Added the Better Heads + Bodies and the Healthy Critters + Real signs mods from the start. Initially thought it was bad, (it is over 4 years old I think)but with the new textures it looks a lot better.

Played a few hours, following the main story and am now a Blade agent and member of the Magika Guild. It's all a bit strange (chose a DarkElf-BattleMage) and have not found any items like glass armour! Where did you go to get that Phalanx?

On some bizarre mission to find mushrooms now

what I did was I saved up and made an amulet which will unlock any door (cost about 50k). Unlocked the door in the fighters guild in ald ruhn which had some glass armour in it. Also if you go to ghost gate, there is loads of glass armour which you can steal but I highly recommend getting a spell which will make you invisible if you do plan on stealing from there. Also it's worth going to caldera and killing the orcs in the orc house bottom floor as the orcish armour can be sold for a bit and one of them has an ebony longsword which is rather powerful

not too many spoilers in this thread then

Gman2004 if you want missions all you have to do is enter a guild building in Balmora and you can join and get quests, in Caldera you can get a very simple quest from any one of a number of traders, there are quests everywhere you just need to talk to people.

Maybe I'm to much of a purist but I don't like making my character super hard with hardcore armour that early in the game, a set of chitin armour will suffice for mine until I am able to get some dark brotherhood gear.
I also use the creeper and mudcrab remover mod so that I can't get really wealthy straight away.

The thing is if you know what to do this game can be quite easy to take advantage of, like atm i can make large amounts of potions and sell them off for a good price, it can take a while to get rid of them though.
