*** Mortal Kombat 11 ***

Just got it for £35.99 from GMG, not sure it cheapest available but it's same as cdkeys.com and you you the Shao Kahn pre-order incentive. Cdkeys had not mention of Shao Kahn

It was listed as £49.99 but when I added to basket it went to £38.99 with doing anything. I then used code FATALITY which dropped it to £35.99. The code was meant give 28% off but I I guess 28% off of £49.99 is £35.99.

If you were logged in then you get the 'vip' price which was 38.99 when I logged in, didnt know about he other code though.

I'm out off by all the x-ray rubbish, I like to have control of my character not watch endless scripted scenes and it looks like they've made even more of them than mk 10 :/

Have they made the netcode playable or is it still a no go online?

TBF the x-ray moves were like MK's equivalent of Supers in Street Fighter. You dont't control your characters each individual hit during those types of moves.

Going off what people have said about the beta that was on the consoles, the net code is really good.

I played it on Xbox One X and rarely any netcode issues for me even on my crappy 6mbps connection! Can't wait for tuesday, I went for Xbox version.

Anyone seen the steam reviews for this? Tons of negativity to say the least, complaints about microtransactions, framerate, crashes etc. As of typing this there's 878 "reviews" mostly negative.

Seems like it's always online single player DRM too. £50 and it's full of microtransactions and you're at the mercy of whether their servers are up and functioning well. If PC gaming is on its way out, I lay the blame squarely at the door of devs / publishers like this.

That's okay most MK enthusiast barely use the x-ray as chain combos are more effective damage dealers than x-ray altogether, x-ray majority of time is either used for show or if you're desperate for final blow for victory.

A shame to hear much negativity! I'm a huge MK fan but I ended up watching the entire story mode on YouTube so I'm in no rush to purchase it now as nowadays I'm more interested in the story of MK than anything else.

Watched a few streams of it, Even the previews seemed a bit ropey tbh.
But its seems the net code is pretty terrible with a lot of lag and the general flow of the game just doesn't feel like much of a leap compared to X.

and then yeh those microtransactions and RNG in-game boxes are pretty shameful.
