Mortal Kombat (2011)

Yeah Scorp's stage fatality I believe is forward, up, up, square. I could do it on The Pit no problem but same as you I could not do it on The Living Forest so I'm guessing it's disabled. I actually just stumbled onto a pretty big spoiler for a hidden character in this game durrrrrrr bit annoyed with myself I need to stop reading and watching videos of this game and just look forward to it.

You have to press block if you press up (to stop yourself jumping) :)

But does the Fatality work when you do so? As it doesn't say anything about that in the move list.

I've also come across some weird graphic bugs. On the Pit level I was playing as Scorpion and I got a load of black lines coming out from Scorpion. When I got onto the next stage however all was well again. Also, for some unknown reason the little speeches at the beginning of each fight lost their sound but the rest of the sound effects played just fine. I rebooted the demo and it was ok again. Still some bugs to iron out then it seems but there is over a month to go yet and the demo could be an older build for all we know so I'm confident it will be fixed by launch.

Yup. That's how it was for the old games and I've read it in comments on YouTube (for the demo).

Little known fact about MK arcade cabinet...

It had 2 counters and switches inside. 1 for ERMACs and 1 for the Jonny Cage nut punch.

Meaning you could turn off the nut punch if you wanted :D

I loved doing the nut punch with Jonny Cage. :D

Was a 'meh' with this until I played the demo, only had a quick blast with Scorpion but it's looking good. Think I'm going to be pre-ordering it :D

Yeah I'll be pre-ordering the collectors edition... though I do wish we got the book ends instead.

I've found Scorpion to be "easier" to use than Sub Zero.

I prefer to use Sub, but some of the delays after the ice moves set you up for some serious pain.

Bit gutted the fights stop at Goro. Would have been nice to fight some of the other characters, even if you couldn't play as them.

Ah I thought it was me, when I thought Sub-zeros moves had a wierd delay on them coming out - felt a lot longer than I remember, but I didnt play that much MK...

ps3ud0

Ok well "Collectors Edition" vs the "Normal Edition" just got a hell of a lot more complicated;

Exclusive Unlock When You Pre-order
Pre-order Mortal Kombat and in addition to Amazon.co.uk's Pre-order Price Guarantee, you will receive codes to unlock Sub Zero and Reptile original character costumes and classic fatalities, plus Klassic Kitana's original Mortal Kombat ninja outfit.

Much better than the American offer of one exclusive skin per store though.

I think Sub Zero is slower but stronger than Scorpion, but Scorpions moves are faster and more flashy. I think I will get the Kollectors Edition after all. Im a huge Mk fan so why not.

- UPDATE - Kollectors Pre-ordered, yay! :-)

Really enjoy the demo for this and considering buying it. Sub zero definitely feels a lot slower than scorpion but it appears more of his attacks knockback and break blocks. Only managed to do 1 fatality so far with scorpion and loved it. The Xray moves are seriously well designed as well
