Mortal Kombat (2011)

read the eurogamer review which is a little more reliable then game"pc hate"trailers.com

7/10 for them so about as expected, looking forward to playing it in a light hearted fashion....they seemed to pick up on lack of mk3 style combos and introduction of supers as negatives and would probably agree from playing the demo.
 
To say im excited for this would be a massive understatement. Roll on tomorrow and the bank holiday woot woot :) ..
 
Story is wicked ... Just had my first woopsy!! Brilliant. I love it, all the classic characters, all the classic stages even a lot of the old music is in it too! Epic.

Btw when you get a characters second outfit how do u select it? Can't figure it out. :(
 
Hey all

Anyone kinda unimpressed with the KE? The artbook felt flimsy, the pages were really thin and it felt like it wouldn't be hard to rip accidentally.

Also the scorpion figurine was only attached by one foot and there's a big lump of plastic on his sword...oh yeah and I know scorpion has White eyes but it looks like they just haven't painted anything over them over than the flesh colour!

Good job the game is good!!

Press Start when selecting - if it's not a DLC one i think you have to view it in Nekropolis (sp?) to activate it...
 
Yeh thanks...yep if you unlock something by krypt or ladder them you haver to go to true metro too activate it for some reason. Story mode seems the best way of earning credits so far.

Also where's the versus player vs cpu mode ie quick match? Did they seriously forget to put that in?

Choose "Fight", then "Ladder".

Fight > Ladder > Begginer

Easily do the first 4 fights as a Flawless Victory netting 1K per round so 8K in about 5minutes! You could increase the rounds to win and get more, but i've not tried it.

From what I read you can only earn credits on story from the first play through after that it's next to nothing (not sure if changing difficulty to a higher one will work though?).

I am wondering if you buyout the 300th Challenge for the 50,000 do you get the Mileena 3rd costume achievement or do you actually have to complete it yourself!

Apparently you still get the Mileena alternate costume achievement even if you skip the Challenge Tower challenges. You don't get the one for completing all challenges, though.

Ah I heard other way round!! :/

I only got to play for a couple hours last night so battling through Story mode, not had time to test the theory myself - luckily we have some bank holidays for me to waste my time playing games on!!
