Yea pretty much what I'm doing with him at the moment. Also I'm either,
A) Really lucky at catching people with his teleport.
B) Getting good at catching people with his teleport.
And obviously I mean, not when they are standing around blocking.

I've been pleasantly surprised with Sektor. I didn't think I would like him. Raiden and Smoke are also pretty awesome.
I don't know what it is about Sektor but I hate him, just can't get used to him at all he just feels very clunky to me nothing fluid about his movement or combos. Smoke is amazing, jury is still out on Raiden he was my main for the past few MK games but I haven't got the hang of him in this game yet. I don't think that's got anything to do with Raiden I think I just need more time with him.

The only thing about Sektor is that he is a bit slow. But he does have some power behind him.
if its like any of the older mks then sektor will be pretty poor to be fair, only top teir characters would be smoke and kabal.

Managed to do an 8-hit combo with scorp. My highest combo. lol. Anyone have any guides how to do more combo's with him?

This game is saving me loads of money at the moment by holding my interest so long. I think my main is going to be either Smoke or Subzero, I just don't think Raiden is as good this time round.
I'm babysitting this weekend probably won't get anytime to practice with him but on Sunday I'll spend a day with Scorp and see what I come up with, I'm imaginging b + 2 and his teleport punch will be the cores of most of his combos.
FINALLY somebody who is maining Sub-Zero I've been preaching for a while that he isn't as bad as people say, just cause he's slow doesn't make him bad.
Enjoying the game a bit more now. Liked story mode enough to complete it (normally don't play single player at fighting games unless its to unlock chars) and played a few challenges on the tower.
Won a few online ranked matches but I have to say, online is a horrible mess. Took ages to find games and then the lag was terrible on 3 out of the 4. Thankfully NRS said they are looking at the online issues and hopefully get them sorted out soon. So I won't be giving up on MK9 just yet but in the mean time it is back to MVC3 for me.

Which gave me an 8 hit combo at 21% dmg. Can also follow this up with an x-ray at the end.
Got my copy today and I've played for a few hours, it's harder than i thought remembering all the moves (played MK 3 on the PS1 many years ago). Looking forward to seeing a few online fights when PSN is back but i need a lot more practice first, lol.

Starting to skip Khan in ladder mode. Don't see the point in trying to beat him as no one online will play him and he requires no skill to beat... just have to play him cheaply. Its seriously no fun playing him.

Playing any of the characters in singleplayer wont be like playing real people using them in multiplayer.
Ive only played one game online as the lag was terrible but if its anything like most fighting games playing sinlgeplayer actaully makes you worse at playing online

Yea, I know... but you get used to the other figthters moves and combos and I am learning how to defend against them all.
Scoprs teleport is easy to defend against. I've only been doing it when I know I can land it. Spamming it just leaves you open.

Oh yeah, but spam + lag = rage for meIt's ok if I can overcome latency.
Just keep holding block lol, then upercut when he teleports... or go into a combo.
