Mortal Kombat X officially announced

Am loving this atm can't stop playing it. Couple maps on AMD and couple on nvidia seem to be having performance issues, for amd it's the jungle and I believe on nvidia it's the temple map.

All other maps run solid 60fps @1440p max settings..

Dead forest issue is a lot of blocky looking edges to the characters? Noticed it a while ago doing scorpions fatality where he burns through their chest and spotted the heart being all blocky.

Also WHY ffs WHY do they still have fatalities where you have to hit the up direction. Thats always been a pain in the ass, they brought the fatality stance in a few years back that stopped all the hopping around, but then took it out so certain fatalities are a real pain.

4k looks great but really needs crossfire support, also ONLY fxaa as an option? wtf.

I have no problems on dead forest, think I saw on another forum that it's an amd issue so might be why. I think unfortunately it's due to the deferred rendering used in UE3 engine which means it can't do traditional AA.

We are posting a new patch that will address the following:
• Fixed graphics corruption on Dead Woods level for AMD video cards
• Fixed inconsistent Koin awards when completing towers
• Fixed Display setting not saving correctly
• Fixed Controller Preset menu to prevent a reset to Custom1 control scheme
• Fixed issues with the display of Steam names in leaderboard entries and in chat rooms

Additionally, the following settings are recommended to assist in optimizing your experience:
• Set your monitor refresh rate to 60 or 59.95 hz.
The game is framelocked at 60hz for an optimal experience.
• Enable Adaptive V-Sync, if your driver supports it.
Even at 59.95, you can have a ‘chasing v-sync’ cascade effect. Adaptive V-Sync mitigates it heavily.
• Run the game in fullscreen mode.
 
Is this worth the purchase for online mode? The last Mortal Kombat game I bought there were a few players online at first but then none after a month or so.

Also, is it standard MK control - HP, LP, HK, LK, Block, Run or have they introduced loads of other special keys? I love the original HP, LP, HK, LK
 
I am finding this game to run really rough on my system so I have left it alone for the last week or so. Have they done anything to improve the performance?
