Most borderline NIP ever?

Fortunately I don't think they can identify me conclusively from the post ;)

Yep, M3 LR. Interesting, that genuinely could be the issue!! Let's believe that. Totes not my fault.

Sure my unrepentant attitude will drive more to tell me how I'm a baby killer.

My baby can only go at 70 on the motorway, so yes - it is a higher risk.

Once he starts wearing proper trainers we should be ok.

I've just got 39 in a 30, and have been offered and accepted a speed awareness course, I'm assuming you've had one recently?
Purely out of interest, do you have to report that to your transport manager or the traffic commissioner?

Nope, have to inform your transport manager/company if you get points for speeding etc, but if you get points for using a mobile or careless/dangerous you will go in front of the traffic commissioner

It's unlucky to be honest.

Not so much in the last 4-5 years but before that I used to drive 90 mph all the time on a motorway and never got pulled.

On the speedos I've used (not that many tbf) it's always been a case of them over egging it to the tune of 85 being about 78 so unless your car is unusual or my low sample size is way off you must've been doing 85+ indicated.

Based on GPS and the speed signage board in some places mine all over read by ~2MPH at 40 and ~3MPH at 70.

Ah, my speeding days are way behind me so perhaps I am doing a major brainwrong.

Depends a lot on make/model and even individual car especially if not using the standard size wheels and tyres - some can even be out by 10%.

Lol nowhere near borderline.

As above it depends how you look at it - most forces work to 10% + 2 MPH tolerance unless other factors, some used to be higher but looking just now seems most have come in line with 10% + 2 in the last 1-2 years.

Not really. The border is clear. It's 70. If you're playing with tolerances you're beyond the border and you know it.

In France, it’s 5% +/- ZERO.

Guess who got caught doing 85km/h in an 80km/h zone and had to cough up €46 for being 1km/h “beyond tolerance” last year…

Borderline in terms of actually getting done though - most of the time 79 won't get you pulled - possibly a warning to slowdown.

As other's have indicated, with "manned equipment" the 10%+2 is always gonna get you a NIP - licence to print money.
DC and Motorway's, unless I'm driving to arrive somewhere later, I tend to sit at an indicated 80mph. I know my speedo isn't going to be accurate, so will actually be travelling somewhere in the 74 - 77 range.
