Most hours clocked up in a game and why?

Honestly no idea how many hours, thousands, perhaps over 10 thousand. Excellent game but I was arguably a tad addicted to playing for several years :P
 
Originally my time sink was CS 1.6, but then came DAoC and my life vanish into that hole for many, many years, well past the launch of WoW.
 
About 1000 hours in Guild Wars, but if you count the pokemon series of games as a whole, it'll probably eclipse that :O

Makes sense, I've never played well with others tbh, Shame really, but I hate losing lol
 


FM is really really addictive (along with having it on in the background/whilst the laptop is on standby).

So glad Civ4 wasn't a steamworks purchase originally, best estimate for that is over 3000 hours from the day of release till 5 was released....

Haha, my steam history has a couple of thousand hours in company of heroes but not all of it seems to be recorded.

I used to play 2v2 to a pretty high level (got to the bottom of the top page once) & that used to eat time incredibly.

Yep Championship Manager stole a lot of my 20s. I had a game of CM3 which had "game-time" of over a year... :eek:
 
According to Steam my current top five are

Empire: Total War - 604hrs - I still don't know how! :eek: It's a buggy piece of cobblers.
Civ 5 - 374hrs - Not bad for a game I hated on release.
Hearts of Iron 3 - 318hrs
Skyrim - 316 hrs - Thought it would be more
X-Com Enemy Unknown - 220hrs - Another buggy/flaky game, but quite compelling at the time.
 
I had 27 days /played on my main WoW character... so with others probably about 40days total :eek:

Why? Its just such a great and addictive game, especially when being in a very active raiding guild. Luckily I managed to quit about a year and a half ago, still my favourite game ever though.

Think the most after that would have been Oblivion with 280 hours.

When you think that the average person in the UK spends 4 hours a day watching tv, some of these ridiculous looking numbers don't seem *too* bad lol. Unless your watching 4 hours of tv a day and playing games this much haha, I don't watch tv myself.
 
Most hours spend on a game I'd have to say Final Fantasy 7 on the ps1, I completed it 3 times each time clocking about 100hrs.

Can't really think of much else, I've probs spent a lot of time on CS:S but it's been reinstalled many times and steam just shows 108 mins atm.
 
My most hours will easily be GTA iv. I had it on my Xbox for a year and played it to death... At least 75h. I then got it for pc not on steam and spent maybe 20h on it because my pc wasn't really powerful enough for that mess of a port. Then I got it on steam and have recorded about 150h or so... So a total of 245h is that? That's small time compared to some of the posts on here!
 
627 on DOTA2 steam, still playing daily.

Got over 1000 on SC2 and like 150 days played on WoW but loads of that is AFK time. And like 60+ on COD.
 
WoW probably got the most hours from me, but I'm often switching between various other games.

WoW probably got about 1800-2000 hours off me (probably a lot more, this is just what I'm thinking off the top of my head) in just over two and a bit years, whilst being on and off.
