Most hours clocked up in a game and why?

skyrim would be my biggest, 256hrs on pc, had about the same as that on the ps3 before moving to pc though so it'd be a safe bet to say somewhere around 500 hours.

that's what I can measure though, I reckon ratchet and clank 2 would take first place for my console years, I don't even know how many times I played that game, I actually maxed out the replay counter [when you re-do the plot but keep all your kit]. probs loads of hours on the rest of the r&c series and definitely a lot on jak and daxter 2, only game I ever managed to keep a disc from new to unuseably scratched
 
World of Warcraft.

450 days played on my main. And about 200 plus days on my alts.

I have Boarderlands and games like The Eldar Scrolls which I've spent about 200 plus hours on. But nothing comes close to WoW.
 
~300-400 days in WoW. Haven't played for a couple of years mind.

So that's about 7,200-9,600 hours. Best game ever, by a country mile.
 
If you count the CM series along with the FM series then I dread to think how many hours have been lost to that, for four years I had a network game going while I was at work that we all got so into we would switch on as soon as we got home as well!

I really hate the new FM's from 12 onwards and I have still clocked over a 1000 hours on each so god know what I have from FM 9-11 and all the CM's from CM 3.

CM 01/02 by far the best time killer.

When I read the thread title the first thing I thought of was WoW, I only lvled a main to 70 (I think) but I know some guys especially early on, pretty much lived on WoW.
 
Call of Duty 4, 40days, Xbox 360 was new to me i was 15, finished school and basically smashed it like it was a job. Those were the days.

L4D2 is up there for me too.
 
For me it would be between Oblivion or Street Fighter 4. Easily 300hrs on Oblivion, i'm think probably more than 500hrs on SF4 over the years. MWO is my new addiciton and i've clocked up over 30hrs on that last in the last couple of months already
 
I must have clocked up a few thousand hours on MOH:AA. Back when I didn't have Uni or full time work to occupy me :(
 
From what i remember my Druid clocked up about 150 days or 3.6k hours. Scary Stuff. Glad this went back on the shelf!

Yeah I managed about 120 days during vanilla-WoW only! After the 1st expansion and subsequent expansions, my involvement with the game dropped exponentially. Kinda blessing in disguise when Blizz destroyed the game as I was too addicted. I do miss vanilla though.
