MotoGP 2016

he went down at speed and went straight into the barrier.
they are talking about putting a chicane there for tomorrow

They never did show the crash during the FP2, just occasionally going to the scene of medical workers. Everyone knew it was going to be bad, given the speed, however I thought there was a ray of hope when they decided to put him in the ambulance rather than the helicopter. :(

Always really feel bad after this happens. Just a kid with everything going for him at 24. Seeing his Twitter account a few moments ago, nearly bought a tear to my eye. :(:(

they didn't have footage from the tv camera's, but there is footage from the cctv, it shows he went down the went straight on in to the barrier.
they are now going to be using the F1 track layout.

As sad as it is the crash is on youtube, looks like he followed the bike in and hit it, still sad and should not happen with the things in place nowadays.

i think it may have been the other way around. As in he slid into the barrier, then the bike followed him at high speed and slammed into him.

Eitherway, bike or any solid object hitting you at high speed and you're going to get seriously injured or killed, as was the case with poor Luis Salom :(

Same with Super Sic. All he did was slide into traffic. don't see how this thing can be prevented. Soon as you're off that bike its the laws of physics that decide your fate. Luckily 99.9% of the time, they come away with just some road rash on their leathers. Which is surprising considering they're all tyre to tyre racing most of the time.

My mistake it was indeed the bike that went into the barrier first. Then bounced back and into him, who was approaching at high speed. So a much higher impact. Very sad at 24. Everything to live for.
