MotoGP 2016

Yeah, well it's a soft wet tyre in almost slick conditions. It's not designed for that so it's going to fall apart.

If you look at Iannone tyre, the tread wear actually looks quite low, but its missing loads of tread and basically the entire centre of the tyre is missing.

It wasn't slick conditions at any point in the race, which is why lorenzo came back in from slicks to change to wets again. The hard wet tyre was the right tyre for the race.

At the end of the day you'd expect the soft tyre to wear down the treads to the point that it's bold. You wouldn't expect it to throw massive chunks of rubber.

To add to your point:
Look at the difference of the front tire on the factory Ducati of Iannone compared to the customer Ducati of Baz. Iannone is missing the middle part of the tread and Baz still has his.

Eugene Laverty announces he is leaving, not that much of a surprise given the bike situation in regards to his and his team mates ride for next year. Interesting to see how he does back in WSB's.

Laverty opted to leave MotoGP after learning that only one updated Ducati GP16 would be available in the Aspar team next season, which has been earmarked for new signing Alvaro Bautista.

Would like Cal to become more competitive near the front but he just needs to keep it upright first, there's always that feeling that he's going to bin it anytime soon.

That was a well earned second for Cal, and Mav on the Suzi showing every body else a clean pair of heels for 1st was also a helluva ride.
