Hottest news/rumour is Triumph to replace Honda as engine supplier from 2019 for Moto 2.

British manufacturer Triumph are strongly rumoured to be set to take over from Honda as the official engine supplier of MotoGP’s intermediate Moto2 class from the 2019 season onwards, in a stunning deal that has come as a huge surprise within the Grand Prix paddock.
If the deal is finalised it will be huge news for the British industry, Triumph will supply their triple engines from the Street Triple as a replacement for the Honda CBR600RR powerplants that have been exclusively used by the championship since it’s inauguration in 2011.

The move would be the perfect entry into premiere class racing for the notoriously anti-racing Triumph, by giving them an opportunity for exposure at the highest level in return for minimal financial costs and low risk.
It would also mark the first British engine manufacturer involvement in Grand Prix racing in decades, with the last win coming an incredible 48 years ago when Godfrey Nash won the 1969 Yugoslavian Grand Prix for Norton.
The deal would see them supply around 200 engines to the class, similar to what Honda currently supply, plus the dedicated support needed to refresh them after every three races.

Honda have stopped producing as of 2016 the CBR600RR, so does make sense that it would pull out at some point.
 
Give the engines another 30HP while Triumph are at it and sort the boys from the proper riders. The gulf between Moto2 and MotoGP is only getting bigger.

I would agree a bit but they would have to increase the Moto3 BHP because that would then give a much wider gulf from Moto3 to Moto2 so only moving the problem.

It's cool that Triumph have got it though as I only live up the road from the factory. :)
 
Appartently the Ducati will look quite a bit different to the bike shown at the launch come Round 1.

I think Vinales will be at least a match for Rossi this year, the major factor here will be how he handles the mental games Rossi will start to play on him to try and get the upper hand.

Will be interesting to see how the bikes compare once all the wings have been removed, and the tyres are a little better understood.
 
They've totally redesigned the engine this year though in order to get better acceleration, but still troublesome currently it seems.

Vinales looking very handy on the Yamaha and Stoner making everyone look ordinary lol.

Stoner used the soft tyre, dovi and a lot of the others didn't
Lorenzo has had a wake*call after being fast at the last test and now only 17th

Ah OK, I hadn't read about that. Can you link me to where they provide tyre info?
