The new year is here and testing is already underway with the test teams.

The MotoGP race riders will be on track from January 28-30.

Latest news is that Maverick Viñales confirms he has agreed to stay with Movistar Yamaha for two more years until 2020

I saw Valentino had a massive crash during one test, Totally wrote off the bike... Will be good to see the brits get amongst it all this year

I really hope Crutchlow can stay on the bike this year and get some good results. I know testing pace doesn't really mean anything but it's good to see him at the right end of the timings.

It could be worse. First F1 race of the year the weekend after, and I'm riding a crappy £500 motorbike to Skegness and back!

What an opener that was! How Marquez can turn it on on a lap like that I’ll never know.

Quality race despite the track, looks like it's gonna be very tight this year. Love that the indie teams have a chance of wins.

Good Race from Cal, lets hope the rest of the season he can stay on (Doubt it though)

As for Rossi just awesome :)

Great to a see DNF from Lorenzo as well :p

I do wonder about Smith and Redding though, the KTM should be performing much better.

However first race of the year only the means the most important race of the year is nearly here.... The TT :)

This is absolute chaos. Teams can’t just leave the grid n delay the start. So harsh for Miller. He made his mind up, took the gamble and was ready to go when all the other teams were messing around

MotoGP direction should be ashamed of themselves. What a complete farce.

Yep, there need to be some repercussions for the teams for delaying the start.

Honda can’t complain about Zarco’s move on Pedrosa with the way that Marquez is riding now - almost wiped out two riders

Marquez is riding so dangerously. Diving into gaps that don’t exist and ramming people out of the way. There has to be a penalty for putting Rossi on the floor

Well that was a helluva race, dunno what Marquez was playing at you kinda expect that kind of all or nothing at the end of a close season not 2 races into the start of a new season, that aside what a race Cal rode, you beauty!.

Unbelievable race! Great win for Cal, great top three on the podium. Marquez though, what a ****.
