Happens so much over here. In my first year of driving I had one clip my driver side mirror (running towards me!) while traveling 70 mph on the motorway.

When I looked in the rear view mirror there was no sign of the deer, just tons of cars slamming brakes. I think the lorry to my right must have nailed the thing into an oblivion.
