I've heard that he changed the width of the factory by slightly under 1m from the original plans in order to ensure that the floor could be laid using only whole tiles, because a row of smaller tiles or tiles cut down to a narrower width wouldn't look exactly right. I'm inclined to believe it's true. He does seem to be someone who would go that far in pursuit of precision and order in every aspect of making the car.

I think the point was he wanted those exact tiles, nothing else. McLaren are the only current brand I get a rod-on about because of these little things.

Of course I would but it's just not the right time. Don't get me wrong I'd love to be able to buy a A5 black edition, S5 or TTRS tomorrow, but don't have the cash and would probably struggle with the running costs - more so if an older audi.

I hate paying £50+ on just fuel (seem to be doing more often than I want too like every week) for 330 miles.

Insurance is another big thing.
