the new citroen c3 advert - what's wrong with it ?

hint - stupid/irresponsible millenial (maybe accidental) listening to music and not paying attention, nearly runs over a pedestrian, saved by active braking.

I think you mis-understood that advert. The voiceover clearly states Sam is the pedestrian and you can see he didn't look before crossing. The driver wouldn't have been able to react in time as he passed the UPS truck but the car spotted it and braked faster than human reactions could.

not convinced -
despite soundtrack, driver was not alert/concentrating, just grinning - he should be braking - we have convicted drivers for less

Jeezzz... that's insane. Who does 80 in a village anyway? Back when I use to ride a bike, some nutters who did silly speeds on country roads were sticking to the speed limits in villages, its just common sense... A kid can run out in front or an elderly person can pull out on you.

Seems more like a trial run, he hardly accelerates in the lower gears, also a passenger maybe it was just an event where members of the public can experience a very easy and calm 200mph?

I'd have rathered he just booted the thing full chat, got the nose in the air and truly showed us what it can do because a Demon can accelerate much harder than that and I suspect could do more like around 220mph on a 2 mile run way. One of the Mustang owners here in the UK is running 183mph in one mile and is running 840HP to the crank to achieve that, he sets of in 2nd but is full chat and also with a passenger.

True, but I am off to Vmax200 on March 10th at RAF Kendrew where I can be at full chat for an entire mile with the remainder to slow down, really looking forward to it.

I am clearly way to laid back, I watch these videos for the car, yes the presenters can be fantastic or annoying, but I'd never stop watching or even let it get to me.

But that Golf seems to go very well bruv.
