Fantastic video, @Hades needs to watch this
Thanks. I know you tagged me for the Corrado content. But I also had a Golf mk2 GTI 16v which was featured in it too. Both awesome cars. I also had my name down for a series 1 Elise, again in that video, but bought something else instead (oops, I dun goofed there). My brother had several E30 M3's. The 90's was defintely a great era for cars. I passed my driving test in 1987 so the 90's was absolutely my time.

I forget how lucky I am to have that Corrado still sitting in the garage. I've owned it for 14 years now even though it's now SORN. That's the longest I've ever owned any car. Castle Combe is mentioned at 22:40. I took the Corrado round there once. The lack of modern brakes terrified me and surprised the instructor sat next to me :D "brake, brake, brake!!!!" "I am!!!!"

Plato is spot on!

I drove my hot hatches like I stole them every day, national speed limits sign were just a challenge of how fast can I go, remember often been well into triple digits in my French hatches, BMW and JDM cars, could truly enjoy cars back in the early 00’s and truly excercise your car.

No cameras and the police were about and if you got caught it was a good telling off rather than points or handing license over etc.

Was a better time, quieter roads, cars more appropriate size for the road and generally people using the roads also seemed better drivers.

Roads have gone to crap, pot holes and cameras everywhere. There is still some epic roads in Wales and North / Scotland where you can still enjoy your car but for me back in the 00’s everyday was a track day on public road. :D

1min in incredible video of a Ferrari F8 Novitec blasting by at ultra high speed on the autobahn

0 - 200MPH in 25 seconds with a less than perfect launch on a public road with road tyres is insane.
That is what the Veyron did on a prepped surface back in the day, and that cost £1M (closer to £2M adjusted for inflation), the F8 costs 10% as much.

Used they are still £220k vs how much the 296 has recently dropped  if I had £220K to spare I think I know where my money would go ;)

Scania promo channel for @Scania. Doesn't really start looking at / driving the truck till 6:45ish

Thanks.

I've been following this with interest - there's a whole host of videos - the thing I'm struck by is just how far behind the curve American trucks are compared to their European counterparts, little wonder the Orange fruitcake is so keen on tariffs!

I've always known American cars were generally terrible, it seems the trucks are quite literally decades behind...

Looks like it, the truckers looked amazed at some of the stuff on the Scania. They mostly seem to be bothered about how cool their American trucks look and how to customise them.

Thanks.

Agreed. American trucks are just junk. I also don't understand why they do not have cabovers. It will give better vision and give them more space behind the cab for living quarters.
