I wonder why the BBC didn't put F1 and Motogp on the "protected list"?
No Motogp next year and I think F1 will go the same way soon.

Oh, who the hell should care? F1 is a pale shadow of itself anyway, chock-full of insane decisions from the stewards and bull-**** 'improve the show' crapola. Why would any broadcaster want to show something so utterly devoid of integrity? Apart from Sky and Channel 5 of course.

Just let it die, it's had a good run. Once it's irrevocably gone, then the teams can form that breakaway series that they always talked about....and start the whole inglorious cluster-**** up again.

Source? From what I understand it was the BBC who approached Sky as a means to get out of the contract they were in.

Just do a search for the house of commons MP wanting both sides of the storey. Both sides contradicted each other.

How did you miss this?

Red Bull are rumoured to have issued a statement in Austria stating that the Red Bull Ring (aka the A1 ring) will be back on the F1 GP calendar in 2014.

Yay!

Wow, wouldn't that make it a 22 race season?

I watched the DTM the other day from there and it reminded me how much of a great little track it is.

By not spending 12 months crying about Sky getting F1, I assume.

Care to fill me in?

No find it yourself. Oh and I and others remember you crying about sky ;)
should I go...no I won't..yes I will. Can't make up my mind..what do you lads think ect for weeks

It has. Other than some ridiculous kerbs on the exit of turn 1 which will need to be removed, it's exactly as it was (track-wise) the last time the F1 boys raced here.

One of my fav F1 tracks. Awesome races there in the modern era, it should never have been removed. People I know that went there said it was a beautiful setting too.

It would jump to the top of my 'want to go to' list.

Edit: all sounding very official.

I do fear that it may bump something off the calendar. Germany has been a bit shaky for a few years.

Off to Google to plan a road trip.

Got to be Korea for the chop hasn't it? The whole project is a white elephant, track's in the middle of nowhere, the development around it is never going to happen and it's losing the organisers a bomb every year.

There's zero chance that Singapore will go. Singapore is the new Monaco, in that it is a street circuit with all the sponsorship attractions of a major corporate hub with the exception that Singapore attracts 'new' money, Monaco attracts 'established'.
