I'd miss the toro rosso boys and ric but not really kvyat that much. wouldnt care about not seeing rbr again though, not exactly the most endeering sports team that ever graced the planet.

I've no love for the leadership and management of RBR but I'd certainly miss them as a team. There's a huge amount of talent in the team and they've produced some wonderful cars over the past few years too.

Red Bull are more valuable to F1 than pretty much every other team. They are pretty much the only team promoting drivers based on talent. Without them we wouldn't have most of the successful or exciting drivers on the grid!

It's not like we got caught with 700 pages of another teams data. Maybe we would be more endeering if we did :P

Don't McLaren and Ferrari both promote drivers based on talent? (K-Mag, Hamilton, Bianchi, Vandoorne (soon), etc)

What would happen to all of the drivers in the feeder series if RBR were to pull out of F1? They'd all be instantly dropped or only make it as far as FR3.5 (or whatever it is now) and then be on their own or would Red Bull dissolve their entire driver program?

When was the last time a young driver was promoted to McLaren or Ferrari from their young driver programs other than KMag? How many have even made it to a lower team? Bianchi, and er... Hamilton? 3 drivers in 8 years.

All 4 Red Bull seats are currently full of their own drivers promoted based on talent. They have brought a total of 11 drivers to the grid through their program. We need more of this to battle against a world where Maldonado is yet again filling a space on an F1 grid for another year.

Didn't think Nissan/Infiniti make F1 engines. The branding on the RBRs is simply because Nissan is a partner of Renault and wanted to advertise their luxury brand. The engines were always Renault and they got a little advertising space. Can't see how Nissan/Infinit could start an F1 engine programme now for March 2016 without ending up like Honda. There simply isn't enough time.

Maybe modify the Nissan WEC engine ;)

Andi.

They also got Red Bull Renault plastered all over the Constructors Championship tables. Dont forget, its not like they gave us the engines for free, how much space do Force India give to Mercedes on their car? Not a bloody lot.

I guess that's the advantage of having a junior team and, tbf, the some of the drivers that have come through have been almost as bad as Maldonado.

Because running a second team to bring up and coming talent through is something every team does. Feels like we are in a no win situation really, hopefully we will secure the engine we are going for and the grid will be a bit more entertaining.

Yeah but if a Red Bull driver doesn't perform, they are dropped and replaced. When Maldonado doesn't perform he's given a new contract for another £30m...

The current GP2 champion, the supposed stepping stone to F1, is Lotus' reserve driver, and isn't even being considered for a drive next year.

A few races ago Horner said he would love to run a B spec Ferrari engine next year.
So Ferrari offer it only for RB to throw their toys out the pram as normal.
And if RB did leave then they would have to pay out a load of cash as they are contracted to F1 till 2020.

RB need to stop moaning or get out of F1.

Whats it like in the factory at the moment? I am assuming the management are doing their best to calm the staff down and not get them worried? All you need is the boss saying that we are going to pull out of the sport to kill any chance of having a semi decent car next year if your staff are thinging, Damn! I need to start looking for a new job?

Half the staff will have been though Stewart and Jaguar before hand. A little tantrum from a childish old man won't send them fleeing.

The 2016 Manor car is shaping up to be in the midfield next year.
It will have a Merc 2016 spec engine(sorry RB) and transmission and suspension components from Williams. Looking good :)

That's not really saying much, the Caterham CT05 (2014, with "that" nose) was running the same internals (engine+gearbox) as RedBull.

Quote from Caterham at the time:
In Renault Sport F1 and Red Bull Technology we have technical partners that have powered the World Championship winning team for the last four years, and, while we are realistic enough to know we are very unlikely to be competing right at the front of the grid, there is no reason why we should not be fighting higher than we have done since we came into the sport in 2010

Lets hope not.
They have a new chassis to fit what is the Williams 2016 engine\gearbox\suspension and help from PETRONAS.

If anything Caterham saved Renault and RB last season but running dozens of laps putting miles on the Renault engine when Arab couldn't even get out of the garage most of the time.
