Interesting about no throttle leaving the garage. Seems these cars will roll off the clutch. I bet that's hard to get used to with just a few mm clutch paddle to play with.

Wonder if on demo runs it moves off on battery power only to save clutch wear?

Seems to be a thing for most drivers nowadays to have a moan about tyres etc.

I think I preferred it when we didn't - I'm sure other drivers in the past were exactly the same but we just never heard it

I agree for the reasons that some form very judgemental opinions from them.
Drivers have always complained about the tyres.

I didn't thing we were talking about stopping the radio traffic, just the broadcasting of it. But I guess, for some, it adds to their agenda and opinions of the drivers because they don't understand. For me I can take it or leave it.

They play the radio call to liven it up a little. I'd far rather they went back to the old way of just playing a very select few, if it was completely relevant to the racing.
Unfortunately, more radio calls and anything for extra "spiciness" is the way it will go. We need American Joe Bloggs to be invested! And they certainly wont be with just "normal" F1.

Saves them from having to fix the fundamental wrongs of the car construction rules I guess.

Hopefully the next cars will be even bigger! This would allow for more radio equipment to be housed in there. Maybe have a little emoji keyboard that the driver has to press at least once every lap, so we can track our favourite driver's feelings?
