The bottom line is Ferrari don’t really know the capabilities of Sainz or Leclerc, both are good yes, but Verstappen, Hamilton even Alonso level, yet to be proven.Obviously an org as big as Ferrari doesn't change course overnight, but I think Fred could be the man to steer it in the right direction.
Signing Hamilton is a clear statement of intent, but could also be a masterstroke in boosting morale if Hamilton has the same interaction he did with the mechanics and backroom staff that he did at Mercedes.
I’d love it if we’re all still talking about Lewis in a Ferrari and he quietly wins this years WDCBest case scenario for Lewis is that the 2024 Merc is a beast and he wins the championship. Then he can leave having accomplished an insane amount with Merc and just go to Ferrari for a change of scenery.
I'm so glad they mentioned they were installing a heatpump for their swimming pool in that article. It's really helped clear things up. Maybe this technology could be used instead of the tyre warmer ban. "submerge in hot water before use trackside".For once I like The Daily Mail's take: "Geri Halliwell's Husband..."
I think you may be right. Hamilton is also perhaps in a position where traditionally he was viewed a young, slightly edgy individual that would appeal to certain demographics, but is now in an awkward period where if he's not careful he looks a bit like a grandad on a nightclub dancefloor; a sort of middle ground where he's trying to live a hip and trendy lifestyle with all his interests outside of F1, but (rightly or wrongly) doesn't have the same appeal and credibility with under-25s that he once did.Remember - the "ambassador" thing would have needed to be signed off by Mercedes Corporate; not the F1 team - I suspect there may well be an element that Merc prefer quieter, compliant brand ambassadors (Like Mika Hakkinen for example) than Hamilton with all of his off-track stuff; Ferrari maybe more willing to accept it and indeed suggestions that Jon Elkann has agreed to help fund "Mission 44".
Also I half wonder if being unwilling to signed up to a long term role might also point toward them not necessarily being as committed to remaining in F1 as a full-manufacturer; if the 2026 car is as bad as the current one it would be an easy target of cost cutting for Mercedes-Benz "corporate".
All in all though it leaves Mercedes with a much weaker driver line-up no matter who they choose (well unless its Alonso for a couple of years) - and you have to start wondering if they're now destined for a longer period of "front-running but not necessarily championship winning"
My first thought was that they were beating Checo to help motivate him.Was only a matter of time until it got physical. He's been lusting over Max for ages.

Wouldn't put it passed Marko - wild that he still holds his current position.Marko probably didn't appreciate Horner trying to screw him at the back of last year by pushing him out and has retaliated!
It's the Schrodinger role at Red Bull. He has both huge and no influence at Red Bull, depending on how much **** he's talked himself in to.Wouldn't put it passed Marko - wild that he still holds his current position.
I hope he hasn't done anything dodgy, for the womans sake but also because F1 needs villains and he's an excellent villain.
I assume the one he's accused of 'acting inappropriately' towards. What woman?

Read the article. It's quite clear about who (not specifically who) has made these allegations. There's been no mention that a woman is involved, the only thing that was said was that there are allegations of inappropriate behaviour. that could actually relate to anything. Best to not just assume until we know more.
