Sent dick pics ?

You'd think something like that would be quite easy to prove, so him denying whatever the allegations are makes me think it's not dick pics and is something else.

If it is true then that is a spectacularly stupid way to potentially lose one of the coolest jobs in the world.

Few other sources say it's for 'incredibly controlling behavior' whatever that means.

It could be any number of things at this stage. I doubt, however, that this would be down to a single picture being sent.
The way it's being reported in the UK press makes me think that there is some sort of restriction on what can be said at the moment.
Also, it was reported outside of the team itself to the parent company in Austria, so it will be taken very seriously with likely involvement of a workers council. I suspect it would not have become news like this without a real reason for concern

I hope this investigation is carried out thoroughly and that wrongdoing isn't swept under the carpet.
While I don't like Christian Horner, I concede that having him as team principal for close to 20 years has helped bring stability to the team/company, and thus helped to procedure the performance. I can imagine that if he had to step down or aside, based on the outcome of the investigation it would be a loss for the team as a all.

What else can he do? If he admits to dick pics then surely that's 100% he has to stand down. Perhaps he's trying to pay her off.

The actual story (in German) from Bild is here. Bild are a trash tabloid, about equivalent to The Sun but I don't think they'd publish such claims without verification they can at least point as being credibly reliable. They'll be keen to avoid any libel claims if nothing else. Of course, pics aren't necessarily dick pics but that seems more likely than anything else.

I don't think it will be. The investigation is being handled by the parent company, not the F1 team, and they have too much on the line to let it slide.

Yeah if hes actually guilty and proven that its inappropriate/illegal yeah he deserves to lose his job.

Loving the amount of clear red bull haters in here though, wishing for a "slam dunk" of this individual, his job and impact on a team. Giving me a good laugh this morning.

Other suggestions only that the complaint is about "controlling behaviour" - that could easily be someone with an axe to grind who doesn't like a management style, etc.
There's also plenty of chat the "new" Red Bull Management want rid of Horner and Marko; could be an opportunity for them.

Big risk though in reports (and I'm sure I've read this before) that Newey's contract has a clause that says if Horner goes he is free to go as well.

A loss for the team with regards to performance, for the culture within RBR probably not, the team seemed toxic from the outside and it would seem (if we believe the accusations) it is toxic within the team.

Team culture starts at the top and if that is rotten then that flows throughout the company. I am sure the truth will come out and you’d like to think the investigation will have been concluded before the season starts. If it hasn’t I would guess Mr.Horner will not be trackside for personal reasons.

He has not been proven guilty of anything yet, jeez. As for the 'Mercedes' media, I'd certainly take anything they state with a massive does of salts.
None of what has been alleged fits his character at all and unfortunately these days any men in the position of power is a easy target and what seems to be a culture of guilty until proven innocent.
The media is just another hypothetical lynch mob, as some in this thread also appear to be..

Newey at Ferrari next year then....

RB fans appear more and more Trumpian every day don’t they :D

At the end of the day Horner is the boss of the team. He’s a boss that is accepting of Jos V and Marko as visible right hand men in his team. That speaks volumes about his character. That’s without mentioning that he cheated on his pregnant wife with a pop star. You can play the victim card all day, but he has history, and he has form for not being a terribly nice person.

When Horner complained about being the villain in F1, I wished some of the journalists would have taken him aside and said “you know there’s a number of very good reasons why don’t you”… :o

Didn't Schumacher/Brawn/Todt have the same kind of clause in their Ferrari contracts or, if not, at least some agreement between the three of them that if Ferrari (FIAT?) fired anyone of the three of them, the other two would also leave the team? Seems like some kind of pact to protect the top staff with the team knowing that getting rid of one causes the others to leave, or be allowed to leave, which would harm the team if multiple top staff left at the same time.

RB fans appear Trumpian? Your already in-built hatred of the man has him guilty before any of us know really anything about the allegations or actual evidence.

If he's done something wrong then he will need to answer for it

"Trumpian" with respect to cuke2u's calling of all F1 media reporting on this as 'Mercedes media'... You know how Trump just disregards any negative reporting on him as the "MSM". Are we really going down that road with F1 and alternative facts? ffs...

I also never said he was guilty, I was merely saying it wouldn't be a stretch to believe it considering his past form, and the characters he is happy to associate with in his career.

Only in your very biased opinions, how they link up is very bizarre and far from the reality. But hey, you've made unfounded allegations about RB again and again so only to be expected..

There is only one 'Trumpian' in here, we both know who that is. Very much a hater and like Trump is, do as I say not as I do.
Unfortunately like, with how Trump is, we can all enjoy a good laugh...

With any investigation into these kind of allegations then the FIA will be ensuring that it is transparent and independent of RB and as a external specialist barrister is being used then it seems, from the lack of comments, the FIA are satisfied.
We shall see...
