I can't honestly believe he knew before going on live TV, he would have to be incredibly professional or have basically disowned her in the past to not show any sadness.

As said, he was happy and smiling.
 
I have no idea how anyone could hold it together hearing that news prior to a tv show. I bet the producer was ****ing himself as well. Very sad news for the family.

Agreed, still baffles me that the Schumacher brothers raced at Imola when their mum died that morning, pretty sure they were 1-2 as well in the race.
 
According to the fail on sunday his agent confirmed that he was told before he went on air.

I find that hard to believe. I know the guy takes his job with the BBC as a presenter with the utmost professionalism but that's something else when you can go on air, all smiles and happy after hearing such news?!
