Agreed, still baffles me that the Schumacher brothers raced at Imola when their mum died that morning, pretty sure they were 1-2 as well in the race.

1-2 on the grid, 1-4 in the race. Michael said they would race as that's what their mother would have wanted. No champagne was sprayed on the podium however.

My utmost condolences to David and his family. As for the talk of when he found out....as has been said, it's utterly irrelevant.

With major rules changes and a new engine coming in next season, Ferrari have set up two separate design teams to work on this and next year's cars.

After what happened in 2009, this sounds like a very sensible thing to do, if you have the budget and resources.

McLaren and Ferrari know full well what can happen if you are focused on a title fight the year before a big rule change. They will try there best to not be stung again. Red Bull dont, but I'm sure they will be taking all measures to minimise any possibility of dropping back too.

That said, the biggest change next year is engines, which is out of the teams hands.

And does this mean her annoying voice won't constantly remind us of the different ways to watch? Online, iPad, etc etc. it was like someone summing up the dangers in 999...

I have no idea how anyone could hold it together hearing that news prior to a tv show. I bet the producer was ****ing himself as well. Very sad news for the family.

ralf finished 4th and schumacher first hours after their mother had died.

Racing drivers are a different breed then us normal folk
