Why not just McLaren Honda?

Blackvault

As discussed at length earlier in the thread - its probably a year too early for Honda (Honda could do it, but imo its probably too risky for McLaren)

edit - however from Whitmarsh's words it sounds like McLaren already have a top line replacement (yes it could be pr nonesense and McLaren paddling hard behind the scenes to find a suitable replacement, but I dont think this is the case)

Isn't this the second time on here you have tried to hint about how you watch F1 on an illegal stream?

I can't comment on whether he does or doesn't but depending how they got the viewing figuires it could scew the results with people resorting to streams and/or downloads of the races.

It doesn't suprise me though the viewing figures have dropped, I would suspect that nearly all (if not all) shows would suffer viewing figure drops if they went from free to air to subscription channels.

Even more suspicious now as to why Perez got the seat....

Thanks, I only dip in and out of this tread every so often.

McLaren will run Mercedes engines for 2014, but all the signs are pointing at them moving to Honda for 2015, or maybe 2016.

Title sponsorship will be lost for next year, so they will either be McLaren Mercedes next year, or they will get a new title sponsor. Given they have just signed a driver backed by the richest man in the world logic suggests the most likely candidate will be something connected to Carlos Slim, with the most obvious one being Telmex.

Not sure if like...

Horrid.

Much rather they went back to the Red/White Honda days.

The silver comes from Mercedes and the red from Vodafone, so with the potential loss of both over the next couple of years there could be a complete re-image of the McLaren team.

All the road car launches and press releases, and the GT3 car release have been in various shades of orange, so maybe we will see that? Telmex's corporate colours are black blue and white though.
